That was When the second generation vitz was new in the market. Repair is not the issue anymore aswell. As far as the resale is concerned, everyone in the forum will agree with me in that all 1st,second and third gen Vitz have an incredibly high resale, too much for its own good if you ask me. You will find freshly shipped unregistered jap alto, nissan otti, mazda carol etc in your range, but for vitz, you will get a 2007 model - 2012 registered at best.
In your price range, in my opinion you might not find a second gen vitz in good condition, you will have to be very patient in your search, and thoroughly have the car checked by mechanic etc. Or you will be going insane like me on a check engine light issue that randomly appears. (Even though i got it certified by carsure(90%+ rating). My advice, be vary patient and open minded in your search and may Allah help you.
