i guess i am becoming a south african as i plan to go back there again soon, will post pics of the delectable chicken and salads. one has to wait for a table on weekends( especially late night ) at the Nando's in Chennai, dat's how populare it is.

Yes post all the food pics, make us feel hungry! When you visit me here I will take you to all the best Nando's we even have a drive thru near our place so we can bring the food back home, watch TV, and eat and enjoy life

Yes Nando's is proudly South African! Other than great food they also have some of the best and most controversial ad's you should do a Google search and see for yourself :). I love the from the air pics and was looking at them late last night then saw all the food pics, not nice!!!! Nearly went for another dinner no thanks to you mate!

Ground transportation at HKIA is always effortless. 9/10 for functionality...

The Jervois (in Sheung Wan) is a nicely designed boutique hotel-apartment by Christian Liaigre. I chose to stay here based on my father's recommendation - he knows only too well how I like clean, simple lines, good design, and excellent service. Don't we all?

For anyone who's visiting HK, I cannot recommend 'The Jervois' enough...

The space-planning is excellent given how space is at a premium in HK. This place reminds me of a lot of apartments back in my home city, Bombay. Now I don't know what in the world the bed's made of, but it was among the very best I've experienced...

The simple and effective use of materials all 'round...

Airfare: I'm not sure to be honest.

Bangkok
-Taxi fare from BKK airport to city centre/hotel: approx. THB 450
-food in Bangkok is value for money. What you see is what you get; the average price for a 3-course meal for one: THB 700 - THB 1000
-drinks - a pint of beer costs on average THB 130 (THB 70 during happy hours); other alcoholic beverages cost a bit more.
-room rate at the Metropolitan COMO hotel: about US$ 150

Hong Kong
-buse fare from HKIA to HK Central: HKD 40; HK Airport Express train service costs HKD 200 IIRC.
-hiring a limousine/luxury car service to/from the airport would cost you HKD1000 one way.
-food in HK is expensive, but in most cases, worth every penny. An average 3-course meal for one costs about HKD 250. Food options in HK are aplenty. You could spend as little as HKD 50 (at let's say, a McDonalds - which I do not recommend), or as much as HKD 1000 per person per meal - it all depends on what you want to eat.
-a huge pitcher of beer in HK costs about HKD 70 (HKD 40 during happy hours). Drinks at nice bars cost upwards of HKD 55.
-Cabs aren't that expensive either, but you're better off using the efficient metro; the least expensive single journey ticket costs no more than HKD 9 if I'm not mistaken.
