Background:
Trying something i don't think anybody here has ever seriously tried; recently got a pretty beatup E2200
- I want a camper van to go on rural trips with 1 or 2 friends at most; mostly alone though.
- camping through sites with little-to-no facilities for sleeping/cooking/bathroom
- After research i settled on the E2200 or the E1800 for this project
- 16 ft long, 5.6 ft wide, and 6.5 ft tall, more than tall enough; though for reason's i'll get to in a minute i might need to increase the ride height a little.
What I'm aiming for:
- cooking, Induction unit, with a table.
- Device charging (like laptops, phones etc), through solar. so we'd need space for batteries.
- Antennas for connecting to cellular networks/internet for news etc
- Storage and Sleeping areas, storage spaces can work for storing food but also for mini fridges
- washroom/bathroom ofc. with necessary water tanks.
I think increasing the height by at least 5 inches might give me enough room to add space for the water tanks since i don't want the van to feel to cramped; the van's wide enough for 3 avg men to stand side by side so to balance the van and to stop it from tipping over to one side because of the weight;
The roof will have to be reinforced if i go through with increasing the height so thats possibly an hassle....
- I'd add the cooking facilities (2 ring induction stove with two large cabinets underneath and above) on one side with all the storage cabinets and the batteries on the other, i calculated the maximum amount of batteries i would realistically need would be at most 2, maybe just one large one... this along with the inverter.
- Bathroom facilities would be on the left; idrk how i will implement this LMAO.
- Bunk Bed would be in the back (thinking about sealing the rear cabin door, or severely restricting its movement.
- Table near next to the bed. Water tanks attached to the roof.
what do u guys think? how viable is this for long term camping in pakistan?
