United having a good name in the motorcycle industry can gain peoples confidence for a cheap vehicle.
Ready delivery and good features are enough unless the car is more or less reliable like a mehran
Being a green field status initial imports would be subsidized and are good to test market the product.
Initially they don't even need to build a dealership network they can sell cars with grey market dealers.
Yes spare parts and price is a question mark and the companies will to stay is another question.
Previously only FAW has had the guts to stay all others came and went.
FAWs survival is purely based on trucks. But the car is gradually making it's mark mostly because of early delivery.
I do agree that this car might be targeting families who are upgrading from a motorcycle but that is 1:10 price ratio. A united motorcycle mearly costs 50-60k. I don't this that class is looking to upgrade to cars just like that.
Fingers crossed and looking forward for a new entrant.
Suzuki Pakistan has the alto ready in their warehouse any threat here and they will upgrade the mehran
But their is more trouble coming behind their back from Nissan and Kia but I personally feel Nissan and Kia would make cultus and wagonR run for their money not Mehran.
