However, the only thing we neglect in taking care of is the tires of the car, which is the only part of the car facing more beat as it is rubbing itself against the road.
We have long discussed how to take care of tires to expand their lifeline so that they don’t wear off easily. In this article, we will tell you how to keep safe tires when not in use to reuse them in the future. If one properly follow these simple rules or one can say tricks, then tires can be stored away with full protection and can be used in the future as well.
The first task is very simple; it is a common thing to store away things after cleaning them off with some detergent or soap. Same is the case with tires always remember to clean the stain or dirt present on the tire with soap and water, and then let it dry for as long as it gets. After the tire is dried off use a bag and place it inside it. This will keep dirt away from the tire as well as sunlight. It is pertinent to mention here that remove the air from the bag; one can use a vacuum to suck air from the bag. It is a necessary step as tire might wear off in captivity if there is too much air present in the bag.
After this make sure, that at the place where you are willing to store the tire is not filled with moisture as it will damage the tire. The place must be cool and dry. Moreover, there should be no electric appliance near the tire as it is necessary to avoid ozone exposure on the tire.
It is recommended to hang or stack the tires which comprise of rims, but if the tires do not have rims then store them upright. The place should be clean otherwise all your efforts will go in vain. With these few simple tricks, the tire can last long, and one can reuse them without any problem. General Tire also recommends to store tires like this.
