again my trip has been pushed back so i'll not leave before the 26th:@ so guess what?
@ alisaif post some interior pics and specs as requested by storm....
yesterday i took out the 1303 only to find out that after 2 VERY hard braking sessions the brake pedal becomes so hard that it's like it is set in concrete, will be looking into that issue tomorrow, and then wiring will be redone shortly after that.
anyone know where i can get a proper polishing machine, i have to refinish the clearcoat of my car. i already have a 6inch grinder and if i'm not mistaken i can fit a polishing pad to it but i have no idea where to get one.
anyone still alive out there? where are all the VW owners?
BANJA LUKA (Bosnia) - July 21: Passersby inspect a Volkswagen Beetle made out of oak wood at a parking lot in downtown Banja Luka. It took owner Momir Bojic, 50, a year to coat his old “Beetle” with oak wood and make it drivable.—
^now THAT is a cool post!
Anyone got any leads on a good car polishing machine yet???
I would love to have a polishing machine with me. Do let me know if you find a good one
sorry for the late reply...

^it's on for sure, don't miss it, you'll get to meet all the old members of VWCOP.
Spent some time at the workshop in evening, went to see the progress on the Bug. Took a couple of snaps, thought I should share. Here 1500cc in ready to be installed, and a 1303 has come for engine upgrade from 1600cc to 1800cc.
by 1800c you mean 1776cc right? that means that this 1303 is going to be alot of fun,.. but he needs to change his carb, the 34pict isn't going to be enough for that engine anymore. he needs at least a 40IFD or 40HPMX.
that 1500 looks brand new, the guy has done a great job cleaning it up and that means he probably built the engine well too. is this your engine? what state is your car in now?
i second what storm has said about the 1500 being in great nick. unless i am mistaken, i think i spot an SVDA distributor. im assuming this is your engine, did you buy the distributor from pakistan? and if so, from where?
Have been away for a while.....
Will come back in a day or two with long posts here
@au & asadlong time no see, hope all is well with you & your VW's.
@allspent the day fiddling with the 1303 today, had a great time. slowly i see tiny improvements but too small to make any HUGE difference at the moment. however i think it's time for me to clean out the fuel filter as it's dirty and since i'm already running an undersized carb i'm running into fueling issues (running too lean at the moment)
hey you guys! here's a few Beetle pics taken today at the VW meet in Isb for the mango festival. Enjoy!
saw all the beetles today they were looking fantastic i was in a hurry otherwise i would've stayed till the end
