First of all many congrats.
Offer sadqa before going to collect your car
At the showroom, apart from checking for any scratches etc, make sure you get the car manual, warranty booklet which contains the coupons for the free labor for 1000 and 5000 inspection. Check oil, check coolant (which is really difficult cause in this 9th gen civic, for some reason honda decided to hide the coolant bottle in such a way that to actually check the level, you might have to disconnect and take out the battery. Make sure you do ask the mechanics there to show you the trick on how to check the water level), tell them to fill up the windshield wipers fluid. Also check the spare tyre and the tool kit that should be packed neatly on top of the spare tyre.
If you're getting the navigation with it then also check for the remote control, GPS card, sort of a stylus pen alongwith the user manual and warranty booklet of the navigation system. I am not sure what comes with the non-navigation system car.
If the invoice is available, then make sure you get the 4-paper invoice. If they tell you to wait for the invoice, do get a letter from them stating that Mr. So and so as been sold this car and that the invoice will be generated within 7-10 working days. Usually they give it to you without you even asking.
You ll get two keys with it, a jack knife type with remote entry buttons, and a simple key with no buttons.
Hope this helps
