1- For excellent mileage, excellent pick up and excellent road grip, go for the City.
2- For excellent durability, average mileage and pick up, go for the Corolla.
3- Maintenance is expensive for both cars unless you plan to use cheap aftermarket parts.
4- resale is not a problem for both cars, however, corolla, being the universal choice of car lovers in Pakistan, will fetch more customers.
5- As far as reliability is concerned, both cars are bang for the buck.
6- Comfort levels for both front and rear passengers in both cars are excellent. However, despite its smaller size, the City has more leg space for rear passengers as compared to corolla.
In a nutshell, if you have high levels of usage, especially on bumpy or damaged roads, and require high level of durability, then the Corolla is the obvious choice. But, if your preference is better fuel consumption, speed, excellent road grip and style, then City should be vehicle of choice.
My advice: Since you have mentioned that you will be travelling from Punjab to Sindh, and keeping the road conditions in mind, I would say, go for the GLI.
