Dounga gali and nathiagli is the best place in the entire giliyat region due to sheer natural beauty. If you are interested in a bit of hiking and treking there are two mountain peaks that you can trek to.
Mukshpuri top: the trek starts from dounga gali and goes to the top of mukshpuri (1 hr to 1.5 hrs) and then the trek descends to Nathiagali (about 1 to 1.5 hrs). People usually go up to mukshpuri top from nathiagli side as its a gradual climb but if you are physically in good shape then go from the dounga gali side its much more thrilling! The mountain opens up as you reach the top and you will see lush green Meadows.
Meeranjani top: The trek starts from behind the governor house in nathiagali and takes about 2 hrs (if you are used to hiking) other wise about 3 hrs to reach the top. Meeranjani top is about 10,000 feet and is the highest in the Giliyat region. From their you can clearly see abtobabad and the snowy mountains of kaghan valley and also kashmir.
Pipline road: leveled trek from dounga gali to auybia. One of the treks you should not miss out. Its about 4 km trek (2 hrs max) and goes through the back of the mountain through the thick dense forest of the mountains.
