Which Oil best after overhauling car engine

Hi Guys! Need your help
i have mehran 2007 ..... in winter, january-2015 car heated up and gas kit gone ..... Then i overhaul the engine (Ring, Piston etc..) then on mechanic opinion i use ZIC A+ .... bcuz its synthetic oil and initially use in new cars..... now i hv driven my car 3000 Kms.... car almost driver 90,000kms... now please let me know,
now, i can change my car's oil caltex's Havoline Formula20W-50 instead of Zic A+

That mechanic gave you bad advice. Just use a mineral 10w-40, such as SGO Premium (not Premium Ultimate), or Shell or Caltex 15w-40 diesel oil.

at least he's the first mechanic who is confident enough in his work to reccomend 0W-20 and not "mota tai"l. use the oil as stated above^^^

Havalene bees dablu pichas. ZIC A+ is overkill for this engine, 10W40 is good enough else 20W50

Continue with the Zic A+. It is fully synthetic oil and it is sulfur-free. Its molecules are of the same size and is chemically produced. It cannot be decomposed into its elements even at higher engine RPM and extreme pressure. The choice is yours.

recomended viscosity for mehran is 10W40 and 20w 50.

Go for Caltex Havoline formula 20w-50. Never used synthetic oil in old cars.

Use synthetic oils of appropriate viscosity and API class with confidence, and stick to it. The myth "don't use synthetic oils in older engines" doesn't convince me though. As you said you recently overhauled the engine, then it's a good time trying synthetic oils.

Go for Caltex Havoline formula 20w-50. Never used synthetic oil in old cars.

i mostly use car at weekend... then i go with ur option 20w-50 ?? and let me know the drain interval with this oil..... thank You

Aslamualaykum, Dear if your Engine do not eat or consume Engine Oil , never ever jump on 20W50 . You had better use 5W30 or 10W30 which is cheaper than 5W30 instead of 0W20 or 5W20 , because the before mentioned grade will give you even better protection all the year round.
