Why not usd account in local bank?
When you receive your payments in rupees, convert to usd n deposit in fcy account.
I have USD account. How to convert it in rupees? Buy dollars from money changers?
Yeah, I guess that’s the proper method
Ask the employer company to send the amount in USD to your USD account in Pakistan. This will resolve all the hassle. Whenever needed you can draw USD in Pakistan or ask the bank to give you equivalent PKR.
Banks don't allow it. I tried to receive USD remittance to USD account in 2 different banks, both times the bank told me that can't happen, and the money was converted into rupees and deposited to my PKR account.
You can’t receive USD in usd account for contract payments etc.
@nabs is right.
That seems odd. I do receive US $ in my FC account in meezan bank. No issues at all
For keeping is USD you can use accounts like "wise"
Get paid in Yuan. The USD is a dead currency anyway.
I have a meezan FC USD account and they explicitly told me that you cannot receive USD in this account. The only way to deposit USD is to get dollar bills from money exchangers and deposit that in the USD account.
Do you receive remittance from a company or from personal account?
Dollar index is at 20 years high. Dollar is still king.https://www.barrons.com/articles/us-dollar-index-20-year-high-51655115874
But the Yuan is the future, with China the bigger superpower. And Pakistan's Iron Brother. CPEC is a game changer. And all that jazz.
aur yahoodi sazish?
Remittance received today and cleared at 234 rs interbank rate.
You received at very good rate, which bank you are using?
Bank Al Habib
I normally use UBL and rate is 232, takes 3 to 5 days to process.
Any bets on when the PKR slide will stop?
