When I built that Willys (kaali wali) in 2003, I wish you could have seen the horrifying maroon and yellow combination that I started off with. It was garish...and quite nightmare-ish. It was a complete frame-off rebuild; and had a lot of very small personal touches added to it. The colour was eight coats of flat "taxi black", with several coats of clear overbase on top of it. The 14 size nuts were chrome plated, and the 12 sized ones were cadmium coloured. The entire vehicle could be disassembled with 2 spanners. The original petrol engine (with transmission) was rebuilt, and so was a 1-C diesel (with gearbox). The ride had two sets of seats, two sets of wheels, two sets of tops and bows, and was decked out with a CD changer, MP3 player, video screen and 7.1 channel speakers. AND...in spite of all of this apparent "shine, softness, and pampering"...it travelled TWICE from City Saddar Road to Siachen Glacier, and back...without the slightest hint of a problem!
My point is...the Willys is STILL a terrific machine, even after the lapse of 70 years. And really, your imagination is the only stumbling block to what you can do with it.
I wish you well in your search, Danish. If you are ever in need of advice on new and inventive ways with which to part with your money...don't hesitate in calling.
Best of luck.
