Is travelogue ko parhnay kay baad ap bhe yehi gana ga rahay hongay.......
although i have been to Shangla Top couple of times but i had never been there in winter and also niver since the new road was built. Anyhow i really wanted to visit that place so i decided to arrange a family trip.
So yesterday 2 Feb 2019 started off from Home at 6 am in dense fog on motorway but could maintain speed due to low traffic volume...... this time around i wanted to reach Mingora through a different route so i opted for the swat motorway till Katlang and then through Saghao Hills to buner from there to mingora through Karakar Pass. Now this is a butiful route and although i had been to buner b4 i went through Swabi not Katlang.... Another motivation was the butiful Elum/Asmani Waterfall at Asmani More in Lawangai near Karakar Pass... i had seen this waterfall on my trip to mallam jaba in Feb 2007, back then there was no metalled road even. but the buti of that waterfall has captived me since.. it was nice to c it again with my family...... anyhow aik baat to certain ha kay agli baar bhe swat isi route say jaon ga may tu.....
i reached mingora and then Khawazakhela then asceneded towards Shangla Top . the top as full of snow and kids enjoyed making a snowman there..... after that i mnoved towards the famous Yakhtangey (literally means narrow and cold place, pretty self explanatory) .. however the road was not that straight forward there... there was lots of snow on the road and driving was difficult at times... i cudnt reach Kakhtangey main point (i expected that ) but it was a nice experience in snow there.... after a short stay there enjoying in snow we left (b4 losing the sun so that the snow duznt freez on us) for Alpuri. on way i also saw the famous Shangla Waterfall which was stil running to my amazement. Descended down to Besham and then to Shinkiari Abtabad and home.....
and i did this all in one day.......... hence the title... also i was listing to this song all the way ...... traveled 506 Kilometers. cost was abt 8,000 including a lavish dinner at Abtabad.....
stay tunedfor pics which r under process....
