The End
.. yesterday i went to regal (khi) at an authorized samsung shop to buy 48H6400 but when i did a few tests i was seriously disappointed .. in thte end was at square one thinking who is seeling original ... here is what i think and i may be wrong
Final guidance please read carefully
... the tvs at malls like hyperstar, metro are of good quality but higher in price then the shops in regal, murree road or imperial mkt ... may be there are 3 types of tv in mkt i.e, original, 1st and 2nd copy but i guess in the end these are all chinese
... LG was one brand where i was confident that their pak assembled models have quality .. even newer models like lb6520 oe la6510 are sold as baggage and import item, with un-authorized service warantee and that could mean some chinese copy as well
key to tv selection
-- the rear of tv tells a lot, the finish, the i/o jacks, the printing, etc
-- the remote of branded are totally different from chinese substandard tvs (if there is 2nd copy then they have good remotes)
-- the display; even when you are not playing anything is crisp, clear and fast
-- the processing time for a heavy song is good in original tv .. a heavuy video song like 1.5gb size with high bitrate tend to get stuck or stutters
-- lastly it is the colors but then all brands have different colors, if th tv has the offset color adjustment option then you can change colors as you like so not a major issue but an hd song (1080p) of 100mb should be clear and crisp at any distance
-- tvs in boxes other than brown (original cardboard color) could be fake
-- there are stickers on packing which also give hints
i have purchased an LG tv for myself and lets hope it gives good results and i remain a happy customer .. as a matter of fact i'm not certain what is real and what is not in the mkt but i'm 100% sure that i purchased a genuine tv .. i'll post details later
