hi
i was out of pakistan for some time and now i returned and my question is
You are welcome.
1 what is the difference in the engines of xli and gli 2009 to 2010 shape are they the same or not?
Exactly the same 2009 & 2010 shape is same 2008 (9th gen corolla was also same but there was no VVTI)
2 which one is more fast if there is any difference
Previous shape corolla due to less weight.
3 city produces 98hp how much hp does the corolla gli produces? is it faster than a new vtec city or not on stock engine
It develops somewhere between 80-84HP, it can never be as fast as a City, also due to more weight and inferior clutch/gearbox.
4 in the 1300cc category is gli the fastest? if no than which is the fastest and gli comes on which number?
Honda City is the fastest, second is XLI, third is GLI.
5 how are the shocks of gli are they comfortable than civic or not?
They are not as comfortable as Civic or even City.
6 the older shape of corolla was having poor brakes how are the brakes in this new shape? is there abs or not?
The new corolla has much better brakes, the GLI has ABS with EBD, even the XLI has much better brakes and pedal feel.
7 is there an engine swap posible in this new shape to make the car faster or not
Engine swap is possible but it will completely ruin the resale and warranty plus there will be a huge bill on your pocket.
8 is the car stable at high speeds like 140 to 160?
Car is stable (also depends on tire), but not more then an Eagle Eye Civic, new Civic or current City.
9 what are the 0 to 100 timings and top speed?
Should be around 10-11 seconds, I have seen a stock XLI doing 160+.
10 what is the mileage on cng and petrol does it gives good mileage on petrol or is it a good idea to convert it to cng
Petrol average is always good in a Corolla (CNG is even better), you will lose your warranty if you will convert to CNg, everything else is pretty fine, petrol average is 9 with A/c 11km without A/c in city with a gentle foot CNG (120-140) with a 55kg.
11 what is vvti? what is its use? is it better than vtec or same as vtec?
VVTi is inferior to VTEC, vvti is a variable valve power boosting technology (continuously variable cam phasing), in Toyota Corolla it is used for improve fuel efficiency, Ivtec of honda is much more expensive to develop.
12 before this i was having a khyber and its roadgrip was outclass how is the roadgrip of gli if compared with khyber?
It is much better then a khyber even with stock tires, no comparison.
waiting for ur replies
