Asalamalaikum guys,Hope ya all are doin good. This incident occured with me today in the morning when i refuelled my car. I was at the PSO petrol pump that comes after bait ul mukaram masjid, main university road. I asked him to fill the car up for 500rs. The car was already low on petrol so the low fuel warning had lighted up in the speedometer. As soon as he filled it up, i gave him the money and drove away. After driving to the next corner, i noticed that the low fuel warning was still there and the needle only rose up a bit. I returned to the pump and showed the guy who filled the petrol that low warning sign and told him that the sign wud had disaperead if he had filled up the 7.46litres. He started saying dat 'mene bhara hai pura and all'. In the meantime the guy who collects all the money at the pump came and said dat 'bhai pump 200rs pe trip hogaya tha 300rs ka aur daldo'. I mean just look at this. We cant even trust the pumps. If i wouldnt had looked at the fuel guage again i could hav been easily fooled. Its a humble request to every1 that donot exit the pump after refueling unless and until your fuel guage needle has risen and u r satisfied that your car has been refuelled.
Regards,Fahad Hassan
'bhai pump 200rs pe trip hogaya tha 300rs ka aur daldo'.
I always look at the meter when he's fillin up, so you should also look at the meter over your warning light.
The idea is not waiting to see if the needle rises or not, but to screw laziness out of our bones, set aside our Seth-pun, and get out of the car to watch over the proceedings.
Be vigilant, don't let anyone take you for granted in the first place.
@posterThank you so much for putting this concern in our knowledge its for sure very sad indeed that fuel sellers are doing this kind of fraud and surely i ll keep my eye while refuelling . Infact i have to refuel in morning thanks to ur thread which reminded me .
That is why we pump our own fuel here:P
who gets the extra money? the owner of the petrol station or the guy refueling your car?
@bango: ofcourse i always step out of the car and gaze at the pump meter until every single drop of petrol goes into the car. So was the case this warning. Even the meter showed that it had added all the fuel of 500rs. But the fuel didnt get aded into the car
Lolz that was hilarious
ROFL...... and that was EPIC!
I always get out of the car in Pakistan during refueling.
It works.
Dear it is not about getting out of the car and see the meter. The thing is that the meter shows exact amount of fuel/ price for which you have asked for. I had encounters with different pumps where meters run fast and the fuel is not in the quantity it should be. ppl Try PSO in I-9 Markaz islamabad, i have doubts on this pump too. Please give your feedback.
Here Govt inspector visits every fuel stations randomly to check the pumps. I wish Pakistan had same laws.
unless you live in Jersey
+1
Not, if you're in Nj & that's where they have the cheapest gas!!
lol, cheapest gas at full service station?
Yes paa-jee! 'Politics' is the term here!!
i always check the petrol tank, by some torch or cell phone light..
I always stand with the filling guy, tell him to set the filling speed to the lowest and stand there, no matter even if its of Rs. 500 or Rs. 300 !
Actually inspectors visit and check petrol station every six month in pakistan but they take bribes!!!! (H)
