I have purchased a car 'Pejero Mini 1995', PESHAWER number.I want to convert it to my name, but here are 3 problems
Registration office says that we can register in your name but it will take Rs. 7000 instead of Rs. 1000 (for same district car). It is correct?
The person who has sold me his car, has a car registration book, but he does not have some document which is required for 'imported cars'. Actually he has lost it.
Registration Office says that if you don't have 'imported car' document then you cannot sell this car to anyone. Is it true?
not sure about 7000rs, maybe this includes some missing tokens or something.
once the car has been registered there is no need for any of these papers as the registration means that the car has been checked and approved as legal by a government agency.
they can say what they want but if their counterparts have registered it you can do what you please as it is a 100% legal car. the only document you need for a car is a registration book.
agree with you strom on point no 2 but its pakistan he should goto peshawar exices office for proper transfer
what about the return file??
i have faced serious troubles once i bought a karachi registered car whose return file was lost....
wouldn't the return file include that import document? if it is missing then might there not be a problem?
You might need signed transfer letter and copy of CNIC of the seller as well.
Sir because of this I do not consider return file as a benefit, it is the biggest disadvantage.
You also have to check if all the taxes have been paid for the car and you have the Customs clearance.
