Salam guys. I had made an proper parking shade at my house long time back on order for my car. It is basically green Net based on metal structure. Now the problem is that since thin ordinary green net is not waterproof so im facing issues because whenever i get my car cleaned the wild cats would come, sit and rest on the green shade and usually pee on the green net which drops like a tap on my car which is parked right under the shade. So someone suggested me to get the fiber shade made on order so i went to inspect the estimated cost and the fiber sheets are for 120 rs/square feet. Which is getting too expensive for me. Please someone suggest me a bit cheaper and total waterproof solution so that apart from cat pee my car can get protection from rains aswell. Thanks in advance.
A waterproof shade called as "TARPAAL" in local language is available in market. get it fixed on the exiting frame you have.
Why not use the local plastic sheet people use for house lenters i guess. that should serve the purpose .
Is it totally waterproof?? bec my main motive is to prevent even a single drop of water and to prevent cat pee to fall on the car
Respect and care about your car rather than abusing it on the streets.
Bro can you tell me if its waterproof? and from where can i get it in Karachi any idea?
Yes bro its totally water proof. as i'm in lahore ,i'm having no idea of KARACHI market.. u can get it from any good hardware store
Dear, i am using shade of this Jasti Sheet......its rust proof ,leak proof and excellent life.......i m using it from last 6 years....Go to Trunk market.....and get estimate......or tell me the exact size of your metallic structure......i ll give u estimate after asking from the trunk market
plastic sheet is water proof, but that is only for inside use. if anyone use outside, that will damage in 2-3months. so better to sue TERPAAL that is also waterproof.
Tarpaal is like a thick piece of cloth. It wont be so easy to clean.
I would suggest the green fiber glass or a steel sheet as mentioned above. They both are solid and strong and easy to clean.
tarpaal doesn't last very long.. these days people are using fiberglass, it's a bit expensive but it lasts longer and looks better since it's more rigid and maintains it's shape.the problem with metallic sheets that they create a racket during rain or even when a cat jumps on it. tarpaal starts sagging after some time and rain water collects in it, eventually it tears apart. have a look at this link : (Fiberglass roofing sheets linning THERMOLIGHT(since 1985) - Lahore - Everything Else) .. PS: i've no relation to this company and i'm just giving you an idea of different designs. I'm in no way recommending this to anyone.
Guys, Would penaflex sheet be a better idea? I want a cheaper solution for now.
that can also a good idea.
I built a shade like that in my house in karachi, I had two gates, one was a proper covered, one and one was open, I fit two long lamps under it.
Zulfiqar bhai will "penaflex sheet" be of any use?
yep as a ghetto rig solution
i got like this and its a pain in the a** in rainy season.
how much does it costs btw to build a parking shade for one car?
Fiber glass one here in Karachi is 120/square feet and 150/square feet with labour fitting. Which gets a bit costy for even one sedan.
Is that because of sound when the drop hits on to the shade??
sir from where u got this rates ,here at gizri people asking 200+ per sq ft
