Today I experimented with a ring shaped electrode spark plug in my Suzuki Sprinter. It is actually not a company made, I just converted a standard plug into this by cutting the normal angular electrode.
I know this has already been discussed somewhere on Pakwheels but I am not getting the link now. I searched a lot. So if anyone know the link of that thread then please share it here.
Outcome:
The overall result is very good. Pick though not marginally increased but gets little smoother. Bike has become more responsive now. Ride has become much much lighter and is adding more pleasure.
Cons:
As I mentioned the pick has become smoother. But I do like to mention that if I go little hard on the accelerator, want to accelerate little harder in 2nd or 3rd gear then bike is showing the 'Ghutun'. Thori ghut tee hai bike before it generate the shoot. This Ghutun is not very prominent (but exists) in the 4th gear.
To further clarify, I have not changed the mixture setting, using he same mixture which I was using with the standard spark plug.
Any consequences?
- Will there be any negative effect on the bike, like engine heating issue or the spark plug coil.
- Fuel consumption will increase, decrease or remain same?
