AOA,
I had an issue of engine knocking in my Honda City 2005 (manual). Tried various methods like, using Hi-Octane, tappets, full tuning etc but the problem persisted. Surprisingly the car runs quite well on CNG and no knocking at all(which I used only once in last 6 months).
Today an electrition suggested that issue seems to be with the Advancer. He has REMOVED the Advancer and installed some "cutout" (may be its some kind of relay or what). He said that its now direct and it would also make sure that fuel pump wont be used while on CNG which would increase its lifetime.
I drove car to office and there is slight improvement but knocking is not completely gone yet.
Question: Removing the Advancer and just adding a cutout is the right thing to do??
Please help!!!!!!!
