I had called up Mr. Idrees of Custom Wraps to inquire about getting the Ceramic Pro they are offering for my Suzuki Swift. Although he was very informative and had a detailed discussion with me about the product, he gave me a quote on the phone of 120,000 Rupees for the 10 layers exterior that gives you a 10 year protection (Maximum number of layers) for my Swift. There was no 'I think' or 'It might be' 120,000 but a very confident quote. At the same time he emailed me the price list which said 100,000 for the same thing. So 3 days later I texted him asking why there was a difference of 20k between the print and what he had quoted on the phone? He just wanted to avoid answering the question and his come back was 'The price is whats on the printed list, end of story' So since most of my calls are automatically recorded, I sent him a clip which I'll post here as well. He wasnt interested in listening to it.
Whats with the attitude? If you make a mistake, admit it. If it was deliberate, 20,000 is a big amount. And if the printed list is what the price is and this guy is the sole distributor of the product, and has also been the applicator for Ceramic Pro and he doesnt know the prices himself, whats that saying? I asked him if the price list was what one has to go by, his word means nothing? His response again was 'The prices on the price list are what you go by' and 'You should decide whats its worth, its your car and what level of protection you are looking for'. I understand being successful leads to slowly acting both arrogant and ignorant at the same time, but acting like a Moron doesnt really help business in the long run. 'I dont have any further explanations, just read the price list' Something I think Mr. Idrees should do himself is read his own price list before misleading potential customers and then not having the courage to accept it.
He kept going 'There are a lot of variations and a lot of super intelligent individuals such as yourself calling so one can make a mistake'. We didnt discuss a quote on variations to start with, and at the time my phone call was the only one he was attending. Ofcourse I can understand if someone forgets an hour later what he said, how do you not know what you are saying there and then?
Mind you, their work is awesome, no doubt or I wouldnt have bothered. But behaving like a snob just because you do an awesome job might mean you need more than a lesson in Customer Service or Courtesy 101. A guy who doesnt know what he is telling you and/or is deliberately trying to rip you off, and later cant accept his own words expects you to trust him, thats really rich. A bit shady. All you had to do was apologize for perhaps making a mistake IF thats what it was when you were asked why I was given two different quotes by you rather than beat about the bush. But hey, acting stuck up is a crucial part of letting everyone know how successful you are and how easily its gone to your head.
Please listen to the call clip posted on youtube, then look at the screenshots so it makes perfect sense.
