Assalam-o-Alaikum everyone !!!
I am going to start a discussion about my ride. I have recently purchased Suzuki Alto 660cc ECO Idling Stop, 2013 model, fresh import, hash white color. It comes with R06a engine and CVT transmission. I bought it worth 1,070,000 (unregistered). Although the seller didn't tell me about its crash history as both the airbags were deployed and the car was front hit with bumper and right fender replaced. I had a doubt on this as the airbag light wasn't coming on bulb check lights but I ignored it. When I went to Islamabad for its diagnosis via scanner, the SRS system showed several errors of crash history plus the deployment of both the airbags. I was very frowned upon the seller but I considered it as my luck and let it go. Its battery also stopped working after few weeks but I straightaway replaced it with a new one and since then I'm not having a problem. When I switch on A/C, there's a squealing sound which comes from compressor. Although, I have taken it to A/C mechanic but he said 'sir ye sab gaariyon mein awaz ati hai, aap isko aesy e chalayen; kuch ni hoga isay'. I was left with no option but to let it go. Besides these issues, there wasn't any major/minor mechanial or any other issue.
Now let's come to its fuel consumption. Earlier, it was giving me 18 km/l with few distance covered in local and further travelled on highways. Then I drove it with further light foot and I got 26 km/l with A/C on in intervals. I mean I got and average of 18 to 27 depending on the driving condition and driving style.
As you all know ECO equipped cars' speedometer changes light from green to blue and vice-versa depending on how hard the gas pedal is depressed.
Today, I thought of an idea of driving it with light foot and solely on green light of odometer. I drove it from Taxila to Attock approximately 52 kilometers as an experiment (non A/C). I was astonished to see its fuel average as it gave me 33 km/litre and it consumed fuel of just 100 Rs (1.52 litres). I live in Jand (a tehsil of Attock) and the road from Attock to Jand is purely hilly. I further travelled from Attock to Jand approximately 70 kilometers and I was more amazed and astonished to see as this time it gave me an average of 45 km/litre with light foot on gas pedal and odometer running purely on green lights. This time also the car consumed fuel of 100 Rs. (1.52 litres).
I am waiting for comments of you people
