It's not only for Vezel but valid for all cars that have not been sufficiently used for some time. All fluids have a life and start oxidising specially if they are stagnant. So the fluid being new looking and clean is not the only criteria. A car that is regularly used keeps flowing those fluids through its system thus keeping it intact. Whereas a car that is not being used obviously the fluids are still and start losing their ideal viscosity. This is not just for Engine Oil but also for almost all fluids such as transmission oils, brake oils, coolants etc to be on a safe side. For example ever observed leaving a container of water still for some days? It starts getting contaminated by itself.
These are the exact reasons why all car service manuals have a description such as "5000kms OR 3 months". We usually ignore the time/month part and only focus on the kilometres part which technically is wrong. Specifically wrong even more for cars not being used

This car is sluggish when it comes to drive compared to the civic or crv just to note. It is called HRV I'm the US and if you buy it all wheel drive, it really underperforms. 2 wheels is good. I test drove both models

@kazmi_muzammil .. Thanks bro for the feedback on US model. I'm frankly not surprised as HRV there has 1.8L gasoline vtec Cvt generating around 140 hp at peak.
Vezel on the other hand has 1.5 L intelligent dual clutch with hybrid generating not only more hp, but more torque as well. Hence 0-100 in touch under 8 seconds making it anything but sluggish

The one in us is 1.8L petrol engine that is totally a different vehicle. The JDM one is hybrid which is 1.5L but with the combination of electric motor it smokes the competition.

@AABBDDuullaahh ... could you share the link, I've never read anything about 159bhp
    http://world.honda.com/news/2013/413...Vehicle-VEZEL/
    152 ps = 150 bhp
This is Honda's official press release and multiple websites confirm it

    Honda Vezel (2013-)[edit]

    Honda VEZEL

The design of Honda Vezel is based on Honda "Urban SUV Concept". ?Vezel? is coined from ?bezel?, the oblique faces of a cut gem, with the ?V? for ?vehicle.?[6]
The vehicle was unveiled in 2013 Tokyo Motor Show.[7] Japan models went on sale on 20 December 2013. The Vezel is available with two powertrains, as a conventional gasoline-powered and as hybrid electric vehicle.[6] In Japan, it is regarded as a luxury vehicle as the width dimension exceeds Japanese Government dimension regulations, and Japanese buyers are liable for yearly taxes as a result. The Japanese road tax obligation is held to a more affordable tax bracket due to the engine displacement being held under the 2.0 L threshold.
The conventional Vezel is equipped with a 1.5-liter direct-injection DOHC i-VTEC inline-four engine coupled to a continuously variable transmission (CVT), and it is available in front-wheel and all-wheel drive versions.
    The Vezel hybrid version is equipped with Honda?s next-generation sport hybrid i-DCD system that combines a 97 kW (130 hp), 156 N?m (115 lb?ft) 1.5-liter direct injection engine with a 22 kW (30 hp), 160 N?m (118 lb?ft) motor, Honda?s Real Time AWD, Reactive Force Pedal. The hybrid version fuel economy is 27.0 km/l (76.3 mpg-imp; 63.5 mpg-US) (3.7 L/100 km) in the Japanese JC08 cycle, while the gasoline version has a fuel economy of 20.6 km/l (58.2 mpg-imp; 48.5 mpg-US) (4.9 L/100 km) in the JC08 cycle.[6]

    @salik990 @drzac

How does 130 and 30 combine to 150?
    "maximum output engine: 97KW [132PS] / 6,600rpm motor: 22 kW [29.5PS] / 1,313-2,000Rpm " taken from Honda.co.jp
161.5PS converted to horsepower is, ~159.6hp.

well u r not getting my point those combined power doesn't mean total power of engine n electrical motor.....for e.g 2012 prius engine which is 1.8 which is almost same as Toyota altis 1.8 engine but with electrical motor its combined power to 134hp which is slightly less than altis 1.8 138hp.....electrical motor and engine power merged into combined power
