Default Honda Vezel Hybrid Owners/Fan Club

Assalam-o-Alaikum Honda Vezel Hybrid owners/fans and fellow Pakwheelers. After encouragement and support from you guys and making Vezel's first thread on PW a great success https://www.pakwheels.com/forums/mem...-alhamdolillah , it's time to finally unveil the official Honda Vezel Hybrid owners/fan club thread on Pakwheels.
Now, when Hawkzel arrived in January this year, she was one of the very few in the whole country. But I had faith that Almighty will reaffirm my passion of cars and many others will follow suit. My confidence was not out of proportion or an illusion as I knew that Vezel had everything going for her in our market's future. In an era where Honda Atlas and Toyota Indus are going down on quality as compared to their previous generations, with depreciating yen and slashed duty structure on hybrids, it was just a matter of time before Vezels started roaming and zipping around on our streets and surely they have begun to. At the time of this writing, I can confirm 21 owners of Honda Vezel Hybrid in Lahore alone. The total number of owners has gone past 100 within last 3 months
Now, for those who don't know about this car, or who might be considering it or for newlyweds with vezel, let's shed some light on its brief history, trims and features.

    Concept

In automotive world, everything starts with a concept. And this time, it was a new design category that came into being "CROSSOVER" as they called it. Crossover for the fact it uses two platforms. Like Vezel is a crossover built on Honda FIT/ Jazz platform but takes design clues of CRV. Size and space wise vezel is smaller than CRV but larger than FIT/ Jazz. Also the ride height is more which make it look like a SUV. Nissan Juke as well as the new Mazda CX3 all compete in this segment.

If you go on higher end models Audi Q3, Mercedes GLA are crossovers on A3 sedan and CLA sedan platforms respectively.

    Available Trims

    Hybrid, Hybrid X & Hybrid Z

Sales of Honda Vezel Hybrid started in japan on 20th December 2013. By the end of First quarter of 2014, it had already broken into top 10 selling cars in Japan. As of June/July 2014 it entered top 5 most selling cars in Japan.

I will try my best to share as much information regarding vezel as possible. Fellow owners, fans and car enthusiasts are requested to join in and lets make Vezel even more popular as it truly deserves to be the Hybrid King of Pakistan

TPMS module is installed along with the head unit (For Rock Mars), the external sensor installation is piece of cake, you can do it at your house, you just have to screw the sensors onto the nozzles and tighten the lock ring with Allen Key (Provided with the kit). OBD is you can locate the port it has to be just plugged in, no big deal. If you want to use a 3rd party head unit, the installation is a little tricky and you will need a professional. Evil Sound is good in RWP.

The Radar and Cams are currently not supported, since no one was generous enough to take them out and give them to me for research .
But we are going to have 2 jack camera connection and support for switching angle of Back Camera. ( I have identified 3 angles, if any one knows how many are there, please share.)

    Hello Vezelers !

I posted some questions few days back and so far got no answer. Dont have any other option to post them again with some more question. So here you go ! Please share your best knowledge / experience - that will really be very helpful for me and many others like me !

1 - I checked the water in radiator - and it was not filled till the top but even I entered me index finger and no water I felt. Though no heating symbol was there its cool. I wanted to know if I need to put some more water if yes, then should I go with the tap water OR pour some coolant ?

2 - I want to get my car serviced - any one here who can suggest DOs and DONT's of servicing ?

3 - Where we can find good Engine Oil in Karachi ? and which Oil we should buy ?

4 - When I start the car and drive the CTBA icon/light is OFF in the dash, however, when i followed the video about deactivating it via Instrument Cluster, the CTBA icon turned on. Not sure, if it was ON earlier or OFF. Also, if I have deactivated it in Instrument Cluster - does it get active again ? I felt the trouble 3-4 times, and luckily no one hit me ! Otherwise the cars on the back were quite close in all the occasions !

    Please Guide !

    1) Check the coolant reservoir, the white bottle. It should have the coolant upto the max level. That is the right way to check the coolant level. If not, refer to the owners manual and add only the mentioned coolant.
Btw the coolant from factory is slightly below the "full" mark, which is absolutely normal.

    2) Service as in mechanical service, or the car washing? Mechanical service is just the oil, oil filter, and air filter. Nothing else atleast till 25k km.
For car washing, don't use water to wash the engine, the the normal service should be good.

    3) Use 5w20 or 5w30 only. They're the better options. Any brand should do as long as you keep the change intervals low, under 3k/4k km.

4)if you've disabled ctba through the instrument cluster the light is there as an indication to let you know that.. and will stay disabled until turned back on. . I also favour keeping it off. Our people drive so close, keh phir apna bumper tou gaya.

    Hope that answers you

Today someone stole my Side Mirror glass, both sides. Car was parked in Liberty Market paid parking. But as usual the parking staff do not take any liability.
Anyone have any idea, where to get new one's in lahore?
I have car Insurance from EFU as my car is on lease from DIB. I have no idea on how to open dispute with Insurance guys, I checked the policy and found that, they do not even have a 111 or 0800 number and there office lines also close in night, what a pathetic Insurance companies in Pakistan.

Default My advice to everyone for side mirrors

Recently my side mirror glass got stolen. Thieves are not taking the whole assembly as it is very difficult to remove with jurk as been done with other cars. The glass removal is way too easy and takes only a blink of eye to remove. I got new for 16000 from mintgumery road. That's how expansive they are. Save yours by putting magic epoxy on the backside of glass so thieves not able to remove them.
