    hello
I went to sharda ,azad jamu Kashmir from Lahore via Abot abad, manshera, muzafarabad. as I reached to abotabad and started driving uphill traffic was jammed and was very slow ,after driving uphill in very slow traffic a message came on the screen in Japanese which means " TRANSMISSION HIGH TEMPERATURELEASE STOP IN A SAFE PLACE".
after that message car stopped going forward but engine was running. I switched off the car in the middle. and checked few things like coolent battery oil wiring etc in a wild after about 10 minutes I started car again which was ok so again I stared travling uphill after about 15 to20 min drive the message came up again I switched of car . stucked in the middle of road in a traffic jam, people started giving me tips but nothing use full , It happend three times ,10 min rest was giving me 20min drive ,so I reached abotabad city.parked my car in hotel. no work shop was open and mechanic was available and local mechanis did not knew about vezal. I called my friends back in Lahore and got tips.
the tip according to me worked was as followed
    1) took off negative terminal of battery.
    2) opted SPORTS option and drove car on L on up hills sections.
    3) switched off my ac on entire trip
I do not know which option worked but car worked ok on entire trip which includes uphill and motorway driving
No message came up and I reached home
Honda point Lahore mechanic have no idea what happed and they only said to change my transmission fluid
in there openion fault came up due to I was driving on D on uphills I should have drove my car on L on entire uphill driving.
    any suggestions
I am thinking of selling car
I am worried about gear box

Brother you have to always use L when driving uphill. On D it would never climb and struggle. Nothing to worry now just take care in future

Dont worry...relax...i have a hybrid honda as well and due to the cvt gear ratios you have to drive in S or L on uphill drive as it will keep the car in lower ratios and you can drive with AC as well if its totally necessary. Cvt fluid is recommended to be changed after 30k mileage. Im sure there is nothing wrong with your car. Just drive in S or L despite you feel the car is driving ok in D. I hope you will not sell vezel....

Two intelligent replies from people who seem to understand cars.Yes one has to drive in L when ever more power for sustained period is required.Same to be followed if stuck in floods though best thing would be to avoid driving in deep water.

If you are stuck in start spot traffic there is nothing much you can do.

Manual cars burn their clutches and autos do this, doesn't matter if you drive in L S or D.

Nothing to worry about just enjoy your ride was there would be little wear and tear but no big damage

vezel has a dual clutch transmission. meaning its has two clutches one for odd gears and one for even. the suggestion to drive in L is logical because in the type of conditions you drove ir car it would require it to frequently change gears from low to high and then back to low multiple times how ever switching to low or manually selecting gears would reduce the amount of gear changes and thus reduce heat generated. the control program that tells the transmission to hold gear change when it detects hilly terrain is pretty complicated science and could be expected to faltter in new transmission model like the dual clutch transmission honda offers in its hybrids. I doubt anything happened to the car as u stopped when advice messaged appeared. just remember to use L on uphill or down hill drive.
