Yes 15" rims can be installed in Vitz 2003 now the question that are they suitable or not if comfort and economy is concerned then the answer is No and if the looks/ appeals are concerned then the answer is Yes now its upto you to decide.15" rims does affect the comfort of the car but not upto to such extent that they should be avoided and the tyres go for 195/55/15 or 195/60/15 both profiles (brand of your choice and budget)are commenly used in 2003 Vitz.

Depends that what size of tyres you are having currently in your car if they are some 165 or 175 width then surely there will be some difference but if they already are 185 then there will be not that much remarkable difference.

the correct sizes for the vitz are the following (for the last time):

13's<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" />

155/80R13 = 578mm (originals)
165/75R13 = 578mm (perfect match)
175/70R13 = 575mm (near-perfect match)
185/70R13 = 589mm (a little wide but can be fit)
185/65R13 = 571mm (a little wide & short but a close fit)

14's

165/70R14 = 578mm (perfect match)
175/65R14 = 583mm (a little tall but acceptable)
185/60R14 = 578mm (perfect match)
195/55R14 = 570mm (a little smaller than ideal but can be fit)
205/55R14 = 581mm (a little wide but can be fit)

15's

175/55R15 = 574mm (near-perfect match)
185/55R15 = 585mm (a little tall but acceptable)
195/50R15 = 576mm (near-perfect match)

any other sizes are NOT acceptable

15s not a good choice for vitz as you have to go for low profiles which are not at all reliable and yet your ride would be rough

@Wasay
Vitz suspension is very reliable. I used 15inch rims for more than a year. No noise from suspension. Even sometimes I drive rough also.

@ekagreat
Yes install 195/50R15 or 185/60R14. As you wish. I installed 195/50R15 and tyre was Yokohama S-Drive. If you can spend more on tyres get S-Drive you will come to know the difference.
