Since I have driven both cars, a detailed comparison from my side:-

    TOYOTA VITZ
    +Better Built Quality
    +Features missing in swift

    Airbags + pre-tensioners,
    headlight leveling,
    rear wiper & washer,
    dvd-tv nav,
    retractable mirrors,
Passenger side seat belt warning lamp

    +Auto transmission
+Durable car with an award winning engine

+Better leg room for rear passenger

    -Smaller engine (1.0 Less power)
    -Used*
    -A/C is less effective
    -2 speakers
    -Noisier than Swift
    -No alloys or fog lamps
    -No speed adjustable intermittent
    -No split folding rear seats

*you have to be careful when buying a used vitz, often the odo is tampered and at times hit and repaired cars sent from Japan are passed off as totally clean cars here...be sure to inspect carefully, check auction grade when buying a vitz and buy from someone honest.

    SUZUKI SWIFT
+Brand New Car with 2 year warranty
    +1.3 L engine (More power)
    +Car has good reputation globally
    +Effective A/C ***
    +Less noisier than vitz
    +Features missing in vitz

    Split Folding rear seats
    4 speakers
    Adjustable speed intermittent wipers
    Fog Lamps
    Alloys
EBD along with ABS (vitz does not have EBD)

    -No Airbags (biggest shortfall)
    -Somewhat lower built quality
(Although quality is decent for a local vehicle)
    -No auto transmission available
    -No rear wiper+washer
    -No retractable mirrors
    -No dvd

-Lesser leg room for rear seat passengers

I found the drive of both cars to be comparable so its a tie as far as the drive is concerned. Both the cars have a comfortable drive.
However, surprisingly I found the swift to be less noisier.

***I also found the swifts A/C to be more effective . However, it might have been due to the condition of the a/c of the vitz I drove. If anyone else can compare this factor also it would be great. Logically it also seems that swift would have a more effective A/C due to a more powerful engine.

Spare parts of both cars are also not an issue so not taking them into consideration during the comparison also.

I'm not sure if all models of vitz have an engine immobilizer so I did not include this factor in the comparison.

    @mehranferrari

You did a good comparison as you have driven both.

Spare parts is not a problem for both cars and dont think that maintainance of suzuki's is cheaper (for baleno, liana, swift).

My vote is for Swift, the major feature it lacks in is Airbags, but still I would say a majority of people in Pakistan don't wear seatbelts so what to do with airbags !

If swift had come with airbags, auto trans. And back wiper than it would be a perfect car.i didn't drive it yet but her looks are great much better than vitz.

    I have driven swift myself.
It has a very very smooth and responsive drive.
I was in love with it.

    Good comparison mehranferrari !!
I want to add some things:
As far as you have mentioned some points as missing in swift i will like to comment:

---DVD/TV navigation Please note that DVD players are not being supplied in all the cars, local importer usually installs or replaces the DVD himself. As far as TV/navigation is concerned it is rarely being provided by the importers and if it is there they will ask for more money for car(20,000 atleast).I visited all of the jail road showrooms 2 week ago and not found TV/navigation in a single vitz.
Below are some negative points in vitz i want to add:

1.Also note that the odometer of almost all the cars is reversed by the importers. As far as auction grade documents are concerned they are mostly fake and all of the vitz being imported here are of 3 or 3.5 maximum grade(they claim 4 to 4.5). You don't know if the vehicle you are buying is an accident vehicle.
2.Another important thing is that the tyres that come with vitz are not good quality and no alloy rims and you have to change them immediately so add another 30,000 atleast in the cost.
3.An important point to note that the ground clearance for the imported vehcles is less and you have to raise them, otherwise their bottom will touch on spead breakers etc whereas swift doesn't has such issues. This is the reason that you will not see many vitz in small cities and towns, villages.
4.Repair and maintenance of vitz is also costly in small cities, towns.

2007 vitz price is around 9.60- 9.9 and that of 2008 is 10.5, if you add the above mentioned costs it will be clear that it is much wiser to go for swift.
Airbags is considered a luxury in local cars(available in GLI only i think) but it is a plus for vitz.

Swift is best.I have bought this cars somedays ago and find nothing wrong. If you see the quality it is the best among suzuki cars. Its drive is very perfect. If you look the shape the swift is also better. It is a world renowed car.
The problem with vitz is the it is not a new car.It has been used for 3 years. Why we pay such amount for used car.
The engine of vitz is 1000 cc and the car is automatic transmission which is not suitable in country like pakistan. So swift wins........

One thing i'd like to point out is that swift is a newer car in the market compared to the vitz so if you're into road side mechanics the vitz will be imo a better buy...

now i haven't owned either car but the build quality of vitz is going to be better than swift... since its manufactured in japan... I personally like the shape of the swift and the fact that its under warranty from suzuki is definitely a plus point...

tough choice man really tough choice..
