Default How is the seat belt related to the Central locking system???

Ive had my Vitz since 4 years now, June 22 till now,

Every thing was okay, since one night as, I have a habbit of locking the car, I was with friends coming home from a movie, locked the car, the Central locking locked the car but the unlock button just didnt work.

To surprise even i didnt notice it what was the issue, This day some how i also forgot to wear the seat belt, the next day i came home getting some grocerices on my way back i had the seat belt on i reached home, disengaed the seat belt and the car unlocked it self, i tried this 2-4 times and to my surprise when im wearing the seat belt the lock/unlock button works and the car unlocks when the driver seat belt is removed.

I was realy happy as this a was a feature i dont noe any one had.

But since some days its working the other way round. Now the lock button doesnt works without wearing the seat belt, And the car doesnt locks unless im not wearing the seat belt, and as i remove the seat belt the car locks it self.

It doesnt locks when im not wearing the seat belt is a gud feature too as it reminds to wear the seat belt, but to remind the warning light is enuff as i cant bear any thing un-required flashig or glowing in the meter cluster.

Get over the fact that Xli lacks power windows, Its an Xli because it lacks thoose features or else it would be a Gli or an Altis if had all the goodies.

Only thing it points to (IMO) is that the system needs some way of knowing there is a passenger in the car so it can lock the car, and not risk locking anyone out. My camry locks as soon as I put the car in gear (reverse or drive), regardless of the seatbelt.

it will not ruin it... if u don't connect the engine anti theft system to the system... despite the other system lock unlock, shock sensor will work... i always get it installed this way

advantage... don't know.... but the best thing is that the lock is connected to the central light... until its locked the lights don't go off... so when u press the lock button than the light will go off...

U can still lock the car using central locking if the drivers side door is opened by pulling the inside door handle and then locking the door
