    Unhappy Vitz engine/ecu issues!

    Hello,
I have a Toyota Vitz with manual transmission which is troubling me alot like it takes 2-3 seconds after the accelerator is pressed to increase the rpm. Infact if more is pressed, it feels like its suffocating and engine goes off.It happens in the 1st gear only.
Otherwise engine is soundless and very powerful. No smoke from exhaust etc.

This is really dangerous when on a steep incline road since the rpm takes long the car goes back n hav to pull the handbrake n wait until its gained the accelerator then handbrake down n go.

Engine has done around 90,000kms (55000 in Japan), imported by myself. And its the same even after the plug/point change and engine and cng tuning.

N yes its happening on petrol and cng both.Do i have to remove the CAT from exhaust and spray the electronic cleaner in MAF sensor? Or its something with the ECU(I dont kno wht its function is but im told its the cars computer lol )?

    Hope someone helps.

This thing unconsciously is saving a lot of fuel for you if Vitz has drive-by-wire.

If, as you suggested, you find this dangerous.. then an easier way to quickly gain higher RPM is to hit race while pressing the clutch.

@ all: Thx for the suggestion guys.

I will go tomorrow to get the MAF cleaned up by electronic spray and tune-up (plugs n point change, tapet-settings, radiator service and coolent instead of water, air-filter change, oil n oil filter change and then car service)

Now should i get the CAT convertor removed OR spray that Carburator cleaner in it and how to explain the mechanic about CAT in their language?

Can it also get choked cuz i get diesel sprayed under my car on car wash? (Services station guys suggest oil(which is drained) in rainy season and diesel normally).

Please do not get diesel/oil sprayed on your cars under carriage, it harms the rubbers than safeguarding them. Get your CAT removed, take it to any decent exhaust guy, he'll know what you're talking about.
