i hope i open my thread in right forum....
bro i hve the same car according to my experience with it ,that is normal behaiviour of vitz because it has three cylinder engine and engine vibration is lil but more than normal because it has odd number of pistons ..
ecu got resetif after driving a bit it didnt get fixed, disconnet terminal for a minute, reconnect and take it out for a drive again
umm...but before changing battry this never happen .....n 1 think more i went out now frm my home to sadar (abt 8 km) the cool light on meter did not turn off.
@hash4u : sum 1 told me before aswell which i was going to ask ..that when we change or disconnect the battry the ECU got reset...is that correct???

R u sure???
my vitz used to do this but now no vibration Even on D with brakes Pressed. I would advise you to shift it to N on signal
@hashim: i put it to N aswell but still vibrating....
any other ways,,,,btw disconnecting 1 terminal n again connecting it again (after 5 min) is also done ..jst now...
got the same issue in my 2002 Vitz, and it presists :S
yes im sure atleast after driving four vitz 2nd gen ..and by lil vibration i meant very minor not like vibration which is caused by weak engine mounts in old cars ..
no no its nt mint vibration....i knw ther was very very less vibration before but nw its increased dont knw wat to do...
bro keep driving the car for some time and see if the ecu tunes up the engine .if not then check air filter or get your throttle body serviced ...
Clean Air Filter or get new one. Dont Go for TB service if u want to clean it try Carb Spray dont open TB now.
Exactly! Don't get your TB opened. Open the Air Filter housing which is connected to your TB, get a Carburator/Air sensor cleaner/spray and clean out the Carbon deposit's inside the TB. If the problem still persists then get your MAF sensor cleaned.
No, vibration on idle is not normal.
^Agreed !!
its vibrates for 2 - 3 secs if you shift for d to n or n to d and then its settles .(with a/c on )
