    Default Which CNG kit and advancer etc is the best for a 2002 Vitz

    Im finaly planing to convert my Vitz on CNG,

    yeah i know its not a great idea, but fuel costs are going over the pocket now.

    -Even if i get a 12-15 kms per kilo il start saving, (50rs per kilo)

    -Currently im getting 10-12kms a liter (@ 74-80 Rs a liter).

    -Considering that the cars daily drive has risen to 80kms a day from 10-20kms a day.

    i had plans to switch to cng alto and sell my current Vitz, but i realy dunt wanna sell this car currently, i wont find a better car in this price.

    So any one using 99-04 Vitz on cng, What CNG setup are you running

    i.e Cylinder size/ kit/ advancer/emulator.

    Effect on the rear suspension too.

    I went to friends CNG the guy there quoted me Rs.37000

    for tomasato kit, 55l Inflex Cylinder, ABD or AEB advancer. and Landi renzo emulator.

    Looking for positive feed back

    PS: I have had been running the CNG Baleno for almost 6 years, yes the wear and tear increases but the maintainence, Oil drain period is almost the same,

    Battery dies more faster, Plugwires/ignition coils die prematurly, But il avoid all these no issue

    Get over the fact that Xli lacks power windows, Its an Xli because it lacks thoose features or else it would be a Gli or an Altis if had all the goodies.

    The mechanic i goto was theonly guy who suggested me, Dont put in CNG, Vitzes valves are smaller, theyll trouble you in long run,

    Vitz owners Club, yeah ive put up the question there too, but there isnt much genuine help there any more.

    So since we have very technical people here these days, maybe some one having good experience with CNG Vitz could guide me better guidance thats why made a new thread,

    go for landirenzo sequential cng kit with lambda.

    sequential cng kits perform good on Vitz.

    in my experience & opinion ,u can close your eyes & go to classic cng, block-3,gulshan,
    from there get landirenzo kit & same advancer there, u will be free from all trouble for many years

    but brother i dont understand your calculation
    Even if i get a 12-15 kms per kilo il start saving, (50rs per kilo)

    u will have no impact/increase on mielage, same 10-12 km which u r getting on per litre, here u will get same 10-12km per kilo,

    It simple,
    1) a kilo of CNG is aprox Rs. 30 Cheaper then a liter of Petrol,

    2) So if i get the same average, i.e 10-12kms per kg on CNG,

    3) And im also getting 10-12kms on one liter of petrol.

    Im saving Rs.30 every 10kms i drive. and if i travel 80kms daily

    that makes it, Rs30 in to 8 times

    30x8 = 240 daily.

    lets say we drive it for 20days in month, daily saving in to 240

    20x240= 4800

    4800 in to lets say i drive it only 10 months in a year.

    4800x10= Rs48000 a year.

    even if i deduct 20,000 for maintainence etc i save Rs.28000 a year. Makes the CNG kit free in aprox 1.5 years. Saving is still there.

    PS: Maintainence isnt 20,000 at all, its just that, when maintainence comes it comes hard, other then that the car runs fine.

    Battery change intervals come more often.

    Plugs and wires need to be checked more frequently.

    Air filter needs to be replaced more frequently.

    Oil and Oil filter are changed at 5,000kms as in a petrol car, and you dont realy need to use CNG oil. Its the same oil just rebadged as CNG Oil

    calculation would be much easier if u calculate Rs. per km.
    e.g. 1000cc car gives an average of 3 rs per km on cng where as a 1000 cc car gives 6 rs per km on petrol.

    with this calculation u can accurately calculate the total savings per annum with respect to the kilometers done by you

    ^ ure right but currently im not sure what mileage would i be getting, so just a rough idea, my previus car Baleno it did around 17kms a kg of CNG worth 49 to 53 (depending on the cng station)

    which would make it Rs.2.8 to 3.11 per kms.

    And petrol gave an average 12 to 13kms per liter, thats around Rs5.86 per kilometer at petrol 76 per liter.
