    wow your first post in almost 3 years!!
    cng is a big NO for vitz, a friend of mine did that and miserably failed. the car lost almost all the power and there wasn't any fuel economy as such too. my advice, keep ur car running on petrol or else exchange ur car for some suzuki with FF cng.

    CNG in Vitz 2005 is STRONGLY NOT RECOMMENDED. Infact CNG is not recommended for most automatic cars. I've heard that the old vitz works fine on cng but I haven't experienced it myself. I do feel the pinch when I'm getting petrol filled in my vitz but its worth it.

    one simple answer.

    Old vitz = Simple Automatic Transmission (CNG Compatible)
    New Vitz = CVT i.e constant variable trasmission (CNG not compatible at ALLLLLL)

    Now for CNG convertible japanese cars here is the list.

    CNG Convertible
    ============
    1) trious Kid 660 cc (better cng on non turbo one)
    2) All japanese 660 cc (better be manual and non turbo)
    3) All japanese cars having non CVT transmission

    CNG non Compatible
    ===============
    1) Vitz 2005 onwards
    2) toyota passo (all years)
    3) All japanese cars with CVT

    2) toyota passo (all years)
    Correction needed,,Passo has wired accelerator and CNG can be installed,,confirmed this from many people and 2004 model used to come in 4cyl engine and different then current shape.
