    Default vitz problem

    Ive travelled to nathai gali on my vitz 05. the only problem in the car was the temperature on steep slopes. The water flows out from the coolant bottle.
    Their was no temperature light shown in the meter.
    The areas of the gearbox where the camber of gear is situated also turned red, this all happened only on severe slopes.
    The second thing, the car was normal on salt ranges and comfortable on all the motorway route from lahore to islamabad.
    Suggest what should i do!!!
    Remember car is having stock 1 kr fe

    Its got an under powered 1.0 liter engine coupled with Auto tranny sucks big time!

    Nothings wrong with your car the coolant water spills out of your car when its boiling hot inside which happens when you are going up the steep slopes, you will notice a drain area on the bottle cap. 1000cc with auto gear is very hard to go up. I have had similar experience with my 2004 Vitz. all you need to do is fill up the radiator with water frequently in those situations. If you are not satisfied just go to a workshop and get it checked thats what i did and all was fine.

    The red gear box problem might be related to gear box itself. The gear oil needs to be changed every 35000/40000 KM, have you done that? If not do it ASAP. Get it checked from a good workshop, in lahore i goto mercanics (mercedes workshop) near airport but you can goto toyota workshops and get your gear oil checked if it needs replacement. Do this to avoid larger expense of changing the whole gear box.

    I read in the manual of vitz 05 shape to not to engage gear options B and S for too long or gear box heats up.

    Last week i was on motorway when my car heated up and made me suffferrr alot on the way to abbotabad from lahore. Earlier (two weeks) I got my Radiator checked flushed with acid(slightly) and reinstalled. All the water seems to be bubbling out in the attached level bottle. A mechanic on the motorway told me that it may be the blow form the head gasket that is causing the heating up problem. In abbotabad the radiator walas guided me that first of all get a new radiator cap and then look for another problem.
    I went to Toyota Abbot motors and told the Guy my opinion. The guy just took a cap off a Corolla Xli standing there and tried on my Platz, and we went for a ride. It was all ok. I changed it and went to naran and back to lahore, alhamdolillah without any heating up.
    So it was only a faulty cap that caused alll the problem.
