Default My new ride Vitz 2006, fresh import

    Asalam-o-Alikum warahmatullah,

I was planning to upgrate my Cultus Vxli 2008 for last three months. There was a big tie between Toyota vitz and Suzuki Swift. Both rides are awesome, but I had to pick one. So, in the end I picked Toyota Vitz. The main reason to pick it was the lack of auto transmission in Suzuki Swift.

Second tie was in between 1.3L and 1.0L versions. Though 1.0 is the best if one wants to save fuel and taxes but I required power too. So I opted for 1.3 version.

I will use this thread to keep you all updated about the ride inshAllah.

It is only the bulb and the blasters. No glass shell changed. I made the technician to properly tie the blasters under the hood. You can see in the picture. The blaster is wrapped in a plastic bag, tapped and properly tied with the chase. There are four blasters each for every HID properly tied.

So bulbs are changed and blasters are added. Nothing else changed or removed.

    @all.

Brothers, In Islamabad a HID Deal is available through groups.in. Check the following link:

    Hot HID Deal in Islamabad.

I do not know the quality of these HIDs but it seems cheap.

    They are providing following deals:

Deal 1: Super Vision HIDs for all cars (Honda, Corolla, and Suzuki) 35 Watt Blaster with 1 year Warranty, worth 4000 in just 3400.
Deal 2: Leather seat covers big cars (Honda, Corolla etc.) worth Rs.6000 in just Rs.3700.
Deal 3: Leather seat covers small cars (Alto, coure etc.) worth Rs.4500 in just Rs.3200.
Deal 4: Universal Carpet Mats worth 1500 in just Rs. 1050.
    Installation included.
    Shop timings: 11am to 9pm.

    * Remember that these HIDs have 35 watt blaster and the ones in mine have 45 watt blasters.
    * I do not know the quality and worth of the products. I have never gone to this shop and take no responsibility of whatever happens there .

    Dear BRO,
    AOA,
I am back with the mileage update....
After travelling 490 Kms the last fuel bar begin to blink.
Have just filled the tank full, it was exactly 39 Liters.
So the avg of my ride is 12.5 Kms per Liter.
I have covered the total distance of 490 kms in which 390 kms without ac and approx 100 kms with ac on.
I think its not bad considering that the route on which i travel, my ride usually runs in 2nd gear or may be in 3rd but i am sure i does not shift to the 4th one.
    What do you say??????

Nice mashAllah. I am getting almost around 14 Km/L. I filled my tank completely and have driven it 400 Kms. Still the tank is one bar less than the half on the display. I think it will almost make 200 Kms more, which will mean more than 14 km/L.

Nice to hear about your purchase.

    ================================================== ======

Yes it hits the speed breakers because the ground clearance is very low. The ground clearance can be increased by increasing the size of tires. The best tires suited (according to my research), which will not affect the mileage much and will also increase clearance, are 185/60 R 15. You can put some good fuel saving tires like Michlen Energy saver. Sir, the tires in your ride might be worn out. I have often seen worn out tires in these imported cars. The ones in mine are also not in good condition. I dont know, weather these rides are imported with bad tires, or some one change these tires at Karachi port. Whatsoever the reason, if they are worn out, changing them might increase your fuel efficiency.

    Best of luck,
    regards
    Dear Shoaib,
    AOA,
I have spent whole day in different markets searching for the best alloy and tires for the ride.
I have insisted to put the size 15'' in my ride, I visited more than 30 shops today but all of them recommended me to go for 185-70-R14, they were of the view that putting the 15'' will make the engine to work harder, the suspension will be much harder and the fuel consumption will increase a lot.
After searching many shops i decided to put 185-70-R14. The ground clearance has increase by app 03". I shall update you regarding the ground clearance after passing the speed brakes on which my ride usually hit.
And tires of the brand ROTALLA, since they are very very soft as compared to the others. Please do also check this brand when you go for tire change.
As far as the driving in concerned the ride has become so smooth that you can not describe .

    Dear Bro,
The tire price which the dealer quoted was 7,800 per tire means 4 tires for 31,200 and the set of rims for 18,500.
    Total amount PKR 49,700.
I gave him PKR 47,000 for tires rims and complete set of crome bolts.
I have sold my old tires and rims for 12K

Wow mashAllah nice information brother. That's a great help. Excellent job done by you.

hmm I have seen the 1.0 vitz consumption getting affected with 15 inch rims. but the this effect would be less on 1.3 vitz. I have seen few 1.3 vitz with 185/60 R 15 imported from japan. So, the toyota officially is giving 15 inch rims in these vitz, which means vitz can bear 15 inch load, but yes the consumption will be affected.

This is the image I have taken from official vitz 2006 japanease brochere:

My new ride Vitz 2006 Fresh import -385337

My new ride Vitz 2006 Fresh import -385338

Here three RIM styles are being offered by toyota with two tyre sizes in rides with 1.3 2SZ-FE, 1.3 2NZ-FE, and 1.5 engines. And they have 15 inch rim in it So, they are officially giving 185/60 R15 and 165/70 R14 rims in vitz. This means they will not harm the suspension.

Sir, Mortal bhai is right. The consumption will be affected due to increase in rim size in a 1.0 engine which is already a small engine. It is better to go for 14 inch in 1.0. But suspension will remain fine as it is being offered by toyota officially. If it hurts suspension they would have never offered it. Kia khyal hay?

Due to this fact, as I have 1.3, I am considering 185/60 R15 to be the best for my ride as it is offered in stock. It will also give me a better ground clearance.
