Default My new ride Vitz 2006, fresh import

    Asalam-o-Alikum warahmatullah,

I was planning to upgrate my Cultus Vxli 2008 for last three months. There was a big tie between Toyota vitz and Suzuki Swift. Both rides are awesome, but I had to pick one. So, in the end I picked Toyota Vitz. The main reason to pick it was the lack of auto transmission in Suzuki Swift.

Second tie was in between 1.3L and 1.0L versions. Though 1.0 is the best if one wants to save fuel and taxes but I required power too. So I opted for 1.3 version.

I will use this thread to keep you all updated about the ride inshAllah.

    What do you think?
Awesome piece of information. Bohat jazakAllah. I was talking to my father in morning and he told me that 185/70/ R14 has better profile. Due to this overall it has more rubber and air. So this makes them a lot more comfortable.

On the other hand I85/60 R15 will give better look to the ride. But they will be less comfortable.

And now with this information provided by Mortal bhai, we can comfirm, 185/70 R14 gives a better ground clearance too. They are almost 0.5" more in diameter.

And we already know that 14 inch ones will give us better mileage.

Looks 185/70 R14 is a better option in all aspects

    bohat jazakAllah Mortal bhai.

    regards,

    AoA,

Nahi brother not yet. I am thinking for OEM Alloy Rims of Toyota Vitz or the OEM Alloy RIMS of Toyota Altis with michelin energy saver.

After good discussions with Mortal bhai I am thinking to go for 14 inch ones. But both above mentioned OEM alloys are 15" ones.

Let's see kia hota hay. I am also short of cash now a days.

Well the oem altis rims r 5 holes and won't fit your vitz , however rims of previous shape altis can fit. I have installed 15 size rims in my vitz 2007 tire size is 195-65-15. Gives the required road clearance , grip and fuel economy is around 12 in city with traffic jams etc. will try to post pics of my rims soon.

Tires r Yokohama aspec , using them since two years and driven 20,000 km very soft and reasonable grip. And one thing my bad the size is 195- 60-15. The profile is 60 not 65. Confused it with my altis whose profile is 65.

    Looking Great Bro,
The 195/60 R15 size will give the same ground clearance as 185/70 R14. As i have 185/70 R14 so i can tell you that ground clearance is perfect.
Michilen Energy savers are the best tires in business, Some people say that they are not so good in pakistan, I don't know, people usually say these kind of things because they want to sell other brands...
Any how, change the tires it will give smoothness to the ride

InshAllah soon sir. Yesterday I went a local tire shop. He quoted me 9000 Rs for this michlien energy save tire. The tire had 2011 manufacture date.

I also checked a 5 spoke decent RIM. I forgot the origin country. It was Australia/thailand or malaysia. I cant remember. He said 20,500 Rs.

Almost all chinease rims were between 15000 and 18000 Rs.

The worst thing for me was, when he said, he will adjust my rim and tires in only 5000 Rs. I was like

Socha or bhi kahi say pata kertay hain

Bro do update me with your latest mileage.

    Dear Bro,
    Only for 5k
Do not give your old rim+tires for just 5k, I adjusted my old ones in 12k, and the same price was offered to me on almost all the shops.
In Lahore the michlien energy save tire is around 8K.

    Best of Luck

I have been hearing a knocking sound as my ride shifts the gear specially when it shifts to 2nd and 3rd. as if engine looses the grip.
    What could be the problem?
