Default My new ride Vitz 2006, fresh import

    Asalam-o-Alikum warahmatullah,

I was planning to upgrate my Cultus Vxli 2008 for last three months. There was a big tie between Toyota vitz and Suzuki Swift. Both rides are awesome, but I had to pick one. So, in the end I picked Toyota Vitz. The main reason to pick it was the lack of auto transmission in Suzuki Swift.

Second tie was in between 1.3L and 1.0L versions. Though 1.0 is the best if one wants to save fuel and taxes but I required power too. So I opted for 1.3 version.

I will use this thread to keep you all updated about the ride inshAllah.

It was approx 39 Degrees in Lahore, quite a warm day, Today i have also changed the air conditioner filter, it was very very easy. I took the filter out and found that it was completely chocked, even then the AC was working great.
After replacing it, don't ask the performance of AC you can't imagine
MAN ITS AC IS JUST AMAZING
Shall post pictures of the complete process in the morning.

My export certificate of my 2004 Vitz didnt have the mileages recorded but that was becuase the Shakken tests were started only after 2005
    True that!

My Vitz '09 was a self-import in Nov '09. Its mileage on Export Certificate is 7800 km only.

What filter did you use. It's called the cabin filter. The original one is quite expensive I heard.

Oh and btw the jack is always under the front seat neatly stacked

OEM one is pretty expensive (>3k if I remember correctly).

There is a local one from BiTurbo (Gujranwala) which is as cheap as Rs. 350. It is equally good; you may spray detol on it to make it a germicide filter. OEM one has this germicide property as well.

    LoL.

I remember the day when I bought it, Just before handing over, I went to check all the equipment. I checked the extra tire but wasn't able to find the jack and cigarette lighter. But the person told me that jack is present under the seat and cigarette lighter is not present.

You would be so glad after finding it

I used to place OEM tool kit of Cultus under driver's seat. Once I checked the toolkit. I was'nt able to find it. I was so upset. Just thought may be some one stole it while car wash. Anyways. Few days after I went to Suzuki dealer and asked him for a toolkit. He said toolkits are not available.
After few months I went to my village. There I was cleaning my car and suddenly I looked under my seat and found the toolkit :d
I cried in emotion. OH MIL GAYIE !! OH MIL GAYIE !! My cousin heard it and asked smiling, "Allah khair karay. KON MIL GAYIE ? Shoaib bhai ap ko enti jaldi milnay wali nahi "

Nice memories. Thats why I know jack dakh ker ap bohat kush hoay hon gy

Really? Wow. Main nay abhi A/C lagaya hi nahi. But this is a good news. The air conditioner filter is called cabin filter na? Which filter you replaced it with? The OEM? or anyother.

Chocked? ufff. I have not checked it. Mine would also be praying that the owner may check him soon.

    Waiting for pics.

I did a DIY on that a while ago, posted the complete procedure in the Belta/Vitz thread and made a thread in the Yarisworld forums.

    regards,
Actually, it was a self-import of the previous owner I am unaware of the procedure, but from what I have heard there is a passport method / self-import by which a 1200k car is imported for a landed cost of 900k. Imagine the profits.

Dealers @ PW are welcome to seriously deny this
