Default My new ride Vitz 2006, fresh import

    Asalam-o-Alikum warahmatullah,

I was planning to upgrate my Cultus Vxli 2008 for last three months. There was a big tie between Toyota vitz and Suzuki Swift. Both rides are awesome, but I had to pick one. So, in the end I picked Toyota Vitz. The main reason to pick it was the lack of auto transmission in Suzuki Swift.

Second tie was in between 1.3L and 1.0L versions. Though 1.0 is the best if one wants to save fuel and taxes but I required power too. So I opted for 1.3 version.

I will use this thread to keep you all updated about the ride inshAllah.

    Shoaib bhai ....
thanks for sharing your experiences about adventurous trip to Kaghan.
I have been reading your posts and others related to this. seems you have "Masha Allah" a handsome knowledge about Vitz cars.

Actually i am facing a problem with my Toyota Vitz Car(1.0) 2006. Not sure should i post this here or not.
Recently i have changed the Gear oil of my car from a workshop. After the work done now i am facing a problem in driving.

After starting the car, when i changed the Gear lever to Drive and release the Brake pedal, the car turn off by it self. but if i release the brake pedal and accelerate the race at the same time only then it drives.
that's mean now i have to press the accelerator & brake pedal all the time, even while standing parked. The car turn off at zero acceleration / race.

Not sure what happened wrong. now i am blaming the workshop guy, but he said he hadn't done anything other than the gear oil change.
Somehow it is not drive able at zero accelerator and turns off.

If something click to you please advise.

    AoA,

So sorry to hear you having issues in your vitz bro. I hope you will get it fixed soon in sha Allah.

Bro you should post the problem at "Vitz fan club" or "Engine problems" area. I hope you will get good advice on prevailing issue.

The problem you are suggesting seems have no connection with gear oil change. Its a low idle turn off issue. It usually happens when the ride is not serviced properly. Have you got your throttle body, Spark plugs, Air intake filter checked? If you havnt than this might be the issue.

As you are suggesting that the problem started right after oil change, kindly verify that the oil has been properly changed with right oil. Which oil have you got? Toyota Genuine CVT, right? And did they open the lid properly? Did they drain complete gear oil? Have they changed the container gas kit and O ring?

ajjubravo bro has provided you his number. Do call him for expert opinion.

    Best of luck bro,

*Do keep us updated regarding issue as it will help others if they get the same issue.

Thanks for the response, ajjubravo & Shoaib bhai....
I am not exactly sure which oil they used. i need to check with my family.
I am currently not in Pakistan now ( am in Canada). my back home family, they actually did the fix from some local mechanics in Phalia (close to Gujrat).

    @ ajjubravo
i need to confirm the type of oil from mechanics and then i will give you a call.

In my experience there is no much difference of fuel consumption in between 1.0 and 1.3 vitz. Both go around 13 to 16 Km/L in general depending on conditions.

    Accident details:

My new ride Vitz 2006 Fresh import -1485059
I was taking a left turn to exit "Kashmir Highway" at zero point bridge. The person on motorbike was coming from wrong side. Sadly I was turning with speed. I was around 65 Km/h. It was dark. And suddenly I saw him in front. I hit the bike right in middle. The rider came rolling on hood and hit the windscreen. The windscreen broke upon his impact. When car stopped, he rolled back on hood and fell on road. It was around 08:30 PM. I immediately picked him up and dragged him to my car. Another motorbike person came while I was dragging. He helped me in putting him in the car. When I was starting my car to drive him to hospital, an Islamabad Traffic police officer came to site. He immediately took control of motorbike and asked me to hand him over my license. I gave him the license and told him that I am going to PIMS hospital. He called police. I drove to hospital. Doctors attended him well. They did CT Scan, X-rays for ribs and legs and concluded his is perfectly fine. There were no fractures. Even no stitches were applied to him. He was discharged at 11 : 00 PM night. Allhumdulilah he was saved.

    His mistake:
driving wrong way and was without helmet.

    My mistake:
I was over speed. I was driving around 65 km/h and was taking turn into exit. The speed limit on this exit loop is 50 km/h.

Sadly his bike became seriously damaged. My ride too lost it's screen, A/C pipe ruptured, Bumper, bonut and fender damaged. Right side head light cracked from behind and fog light was completely lost.

Allhumdulilah we both are perfectly fine. He is just a sales rep at a pharmaceutical company. So I asked him no payments. He also apologized for his mistake. Police visited PIMS hospital. They took statement from both of us and gave us clean chit after we told them that we are satisfied from each other.
