    Default My new ride Vitz 2006, fresh import

    Asalam-o-Alikum warahmatullah,

    I was planning to upgrate my Cultus Vxli 2008 for last three months. There was a big tie between Toyota vitz and Suzuki Swift. Both rides are awesome, but I had to pick one. So, in the end I picked Toyota Vitz. The main reason to pick it was the lack of auto transmission in Suzuki Swift.

    Second tie was in between 1.3L and 1.0L versions. Though 1.0 is the best if one wants to save fuel and taxes but I required power too. So I opted for 1.3 version.

    I will use this thread to keep you all updated about the ride inshAllah.

    What is you tire size? Most probably it would be 175/70 R14. You can increase the profile of tire by selecting 175/80 R14 or 185/80/ R14. Both are same but with different width. Or you can increase the Rim size and lower your profile of tire by selecting 175/60 R15 or 185/60 R15 or may be more wider. Check the following link for more tire specification for vitz:

    Official YARIS Wheel & Tire Guide - Toyota Yaris Forums - Ultimate Yaris Enthusiast Site

    According to my research, the best tire is:
    185/60/15

    and this is the one I am planning to put in my vitz soon inshAllah.

    Default Vitz 2006, 1300cc Issues

    Dears,
    AOA,
    I have recently purchased vitz 2006, 1300cc.
    I have been facing some issues, I wonder if anyone can give me solution.
    1. When i drive alone(No one at the back seat) it runs great, but with people at the back seat, its base usually hits the speed brakers, currently the tire size is 175/70 R14, my friend told me that if i change the tire size (go for higher one) the mileage will go down, he gave me an idea of some spaces in the shocks. , any suggestions?
    2. its average mileage in city is approx 11 kms, and outside city 15 Kms, is it ok? can i install CNG in it?
    3. whenever i exit the car and touch the door i feel an electric shock, very heavy sometimes , any comment.....?

    Walikum asalam Brother.

    Nice to hear about your purchase.

    ================================================== ======

    Yes it hits the speed breakers because the ground clearance is very low. The ground clearance can be increased by increasing the size of tires. The best tires suited (according to my research), which will not affect the mileage much and will also increase clearance, are 185/60 R 15. You can put some good fuel saving tires like Michlen Energy saver. Sir, the tires in your ride might be worn out. I have often seen worn out tires in these imported cars. The ones in mine are also not in good condition. I dont know, weather these rides are imported with bad tires, or some one change these tires at Karachi port. Whatsoever the reason, if they are worn out, changing them might increase your fuel efficiency.

    ================================================== ======

    As far as the electric shocks you feel, well, this is nothing but simple accumulation of static charge. Sitting in the car, electrostatic charges are generated on the car seat and the person's body, due to contact and movement between the clothes and the seat. When the person leaves the seat, They take half of this charge with them. As they get out of the vehicle, their body voltages rises due to this charge. When they reach to touch the vehicle door, the electrostatic discharge and shock occurs as their hand approaches the metal door.

    You can avoid the voltage build-up by holding onto a metal part of the door frame as you leave the seat. This provides a return dissipation path for the charge on your body.

    This is very normal. You don't need to worry about it. Just put you hand on metal part while you leave the seat. Remove the hand when your contact with the seat finishes.

    ================================================== ======

    Well bro, I am not an CNG expert. People say that a four head engine can be easily fitted with the CNG. But the only problem which I see is CVT transmission. The CVT is a very sophisticated transmission mechanism and CNG can have very bad impacts on it. You can ask this question in CNG related section of pakwheels forum.

    The only inference which I have deduced from discussion with experts is that CNG is not good for CVT Transmission. There is a version of 1.3 vitz available with 2NZ-FE engine. It is a four wheel drive ride. This version is without CVT. It is a simple 4AT Transmission. The experts say that you can have CNG in this version without any problem. But in CVT one's, it can be deadly.

    Please ask this question in CNG related secition. Experts will guide you better.

    Best of luck,
    regards

    yes you are right. I have tried to search whole pakwheel forums and have found that this @automaster guy has mashAllah done a good effort to promote and sale this kit But I am trying to find comments from some one who has tried this kit and has no intentions to gain profits through the sale of this kit.

    Check this comment: https://www.pakwheels.com/forums/cng...-2#post2777381
