Fuel economy has to be good or better than 1000CCs as it the same body having 1.3 in it. It takes less power to move here around. And CNG is not the issue of CCs (1000 or 1300). Its always the transmission if both (1.0 &1.3) have CVT (Continuous Variable Transmission) which is technically is not a proper gear box in them CNG is not advised. If 1.3 has a normal auto tranny its CNG friendly other wise its not.
It takes 8,460 bolts to assemble an automobile, and one nut to scatter it all over the road.

Very bad idea, sell your car and buy a 1.3 one.

In Pakistan Most of the mechanic have no idea what they are doing, they do 'zabardasti' with engine and somehow fit that engine in your car.

Engine chaly ga to liken zaroori ni ky apko 1.3 wali drive mil saky, aur is traha ki modification sy car ki re-sale py b bohot effect aata hy.

So, agar engine replacement mazydaar ni howi to apny car ko sell hi kerna hy aur re-sale ap ko mily gi nhe due to engine change.

I can swear it is not giving me more than 8.9km/l economy. Firstly i thought it was because i kept the air conditioner on all the time but then i tried without the ac and still the same result and i dont drive aggressively at all, seriously i just cruise at 40km\h max in the city with no sudden accelerations. I had the air filter checked it was clean and did not need replacement, i changed the oil, got the car tuned up but no change. I also own a Honda City 2011 mannual i-vtec and that 1300cc car with much more power than the vitz gives me averagely 15-16km\l in city and 23km\l long. I am planning to visit toyota showroom in Islamabad tomorrow and if i get any improvement i will post but till today my vitz is giving less than 9km\l although, theoretically with only 1000cc and continuous variable transmission(CVT) this car is supposed to give more than 15km\l.

Almost same average I am getting. I have done everything. But cant figure out what is causing low mileage. If you get it better please advise other people too. Highly appreciated.

    1.0L vitz
    poor fuel economy
poor performance (under powered Engine runs in loaded form)
    carbon in the exhaust
    Need some hi octane
    Knocking . . .
    under powered
3 cylinders makes horrible noise like a Diesel Engine
Mileage 10 to 13 Km/L with AC in City (Depends on condition)
Pakistan fuel grade is not suitable for 3cyl vitz thats y they do Knocking like hell

    1.3L vitz
    Gud fuel economy
    Gud performance
no carbon junks in the exhaust pipe
no Need to add hi octane
    No Knocking . . .
    powerful Engine (2NZ-FE 4WD, 2SZ-FE 2WD)
4 cylinders makes the Engine very smooth & noiseless
Mileage 15 to 16 Km/L with AC in City

I own 1.3L vitz 2008 2WD, i m getting 15 to 16km/L (in city) i know its hard to believe but i am getting that mileage

A friend of mine just filled his 2009 1.0 Vitz with Hi Octane fuel and guess what he got 735.6 kms out of 34.19 Litres of Fuel. This makes it 21.5 KM/L. He has a soft foot on the pedal and all of this drive was done in city. Mostly travelled on main roads (canal road and others). On super he use to have 16.6 KM/L. So Hi octane has proven to be cheaper per KM.

    The fact
1.0 for eg suck x ml per km
And 1.3 suck x?0.3 ml per km
1.0 at 100kmph will be sucking xx ml at 3000 rpm
1.3 at 100 kmph will be sucking xx ml at 2800 rpm
At higher speed 1.3 and within city 1.0 are best
    Hope you understood

    If its true than
734 is done in 34 ltr of hi octane
to complete 734 at 16 kmpl we need 45 ltr
    Now
Current hi Octane rate x 34= total cost
Current supreme petrol rate x 45 = total cost

@saad432 : I have made a mileage calculator in excel and HOBC is proving to be cheaper per KM. However, I am experimenting with mixture (yet to determine the ideal mixture for mileage and pick etc) Here you go with complete calculations:

    Hi Octane KM/L: 21.5
Hi Octane price/L: Rs. 138 (approx)
    Price per KM: Rs. 6.4

    Vs.

    Super Petrol KM/L: 16.6
    Super Petrol price/L: Rs. 110(approx)
    Price per KM: Rs. 6.6

you are rit thats the xat situation.i have 1.3 2008 and i sold one 1.0 and and as for as i am concerned i will never recomend 1.0 vitz coz as compared to 1.3 it has a bad feul economy, power, acc, topspeed etc
