Default Vitz 1.3 vs 1.0 fuel economy?

i was looking into getting a toyota vitz for personal use,, there are two models available in pak ,, the 1300cc and the more common 1000cc ,,,

    my question>

which one has the better mileage ( ofc the 1.0 should be the better one but i heard from someone the 1300 has better EFi )

    your opinions?

Experiment LiquiMoly Octane boost product with full tank super petrol and observe the mileage in 1.0 vitz. The issue is with petrol quality in Pakistan nor with CC. also i recommend based on experience to use Liquimoly injector cleaner with a full tank once in every 4 months.

my friend what ever you do don't buy the 1000cc vitz
as per my knowledge it is a 3 piston car
it wont give you more then 10 kmpl at the most
go for 1300 its way smoother , comfortable and the 1000cc vitz vibrates a lot
go for a CVT version as normal auto vitz are not very smooth
Trust onto God and He shall direct your path......

Yes Belta Passo and Vitz has the same engine that is 1KRFE.
Fuel economy wise 1.0L is good but if you're looking for power and more fun to drive then you're good to go with 1.3L.

    Increased Horsepower

Cars that have their catalytic converters removed experience an increase in engine horsepower. Catalytic converters create a significant source of engine back-pressure due to the constrictive effects they have on exiting engine exhaust gases. Removal of catalytic converters from cars allows exhaust gases to exit their engines much faster and at higher levels.

    Better Gas Mileage
Since catalytic converter removal allows for exhaust gases to exit a car's engine at increased speeds, engine back-pressure is reduced, which lessens engine strain. This reduction in engine back-pressure and engine strain enables an engine to work more easily, and thus reduces fuel consumption and increases gas mileage.

1.0 gives good fuel economy if u get a really clean ride(which might cost more than even the 1.3 variant), the one with chocked catalytic converters(which only get disposed off, never changed in pakistan which triggers a Check engine light in vitz, smaller engine suffers more), bad sensors is worse than 1.3 vitz. if u plan to drive it with a light foot than get 1.0. if i'd low budget or buying a Pakistan used vitz i'd prefer the 1.3

U will see that it goes up to 19 KM/L.

The consumption does not go beyond 10KM/L.as these car are fuel efficient that is learn the fuel and road conditions after every kilometers.
and now goes 14 in local, and 19~20 on M/way.

    Default Fuel Indicator

"Have you ever noticed the dial meter on any scale or pressure gauge. The distance between very first number is not equal to the rest of other numbers. I mean 0-1 or 2 has less margin as compared to 2- onward. It means initially when scale starts working it need more power or more working capacity, so does fuel gauge on vehicles.
It takes about 4-5 liters to drop first line and then 2-3 liters for every line. It means when you get your tank full, the car runs about 70-85 kilometer and one line drops and then after every 20-25 kilometer."

Fill its tank and then exactly drive 50 km at random in city then refill the tank. you will find a difference of more than 5 killometers
if a car consumes 1 litre for 8 km it should emit black smoke and should be under powered , plugs should wear out quick and there should be black carbon on the exhausts pipe. Dont push the car as pleasure costs in terms of fuel

    Reasons of low millage.
    1. Ignition timing is below 20 degrees before top dead center. (only the engine diagnostic management person can tell)
    a. it causes loss of power as well
    b. it causes a bad sound of engine like its under stress
    c Eventually more fuel
    d. black carbon on exhaust
    e. black spark plugs

One bad parameter can cause multiple issues .

    2. Driver Attitude.
    Sudden push on throttle effects
    a. it drops the ignition timing to default , that is start time timing , consumes extra ordinary fuel , discharges CO which is un burnt fuel
in reaction the ECU reduces the injection and power loss occures and the driver thinks that engine has gone week
    b. Taking the engine RPM to high limits like changing gears at or above 2000 RPM withou reason but for pleasure.

    3. Friction constants
    a. low air pressure in tires
    b. Breaks jamming on wheels even when not applied
    c. high speed Air resistance is directly proportional to speed
    d weight in the car.

Get rid of all the above.
Get the timing checked and adjusted to 20 BTDC the engineer know's how to do that toyota or any other reliable shop
    Correct tyre presure.
    Check breakes
