    Default Vitz Vibration

I own a 2007 vitz. Today, I got it's battery changed since the old one died. The new battery is AGS 60 CNG(my car is on patrol). After the battery change, the car has started to vibrate violently in idle. In neutral, park or in drive without pressing the accelerator. As soon as I press the accelerator, the vibrations stop and starts behaving normally. The car was fine this morning, the problem started after I got the battery changed.
Also, I cleaned the air filter while I was at the shop. I have checked if I hadnt replaced the filter correctly but it seems fine.
Experts please tell me what to do now.

Same thing happened to my car after battery change , well I disengaged the battery terminal for few minutes to reset the ecu and also got the throttle body serviced at the same time and the car was back to normal. It worked for me u can give it a try.

OK i will try disengaging the battery right now and see what happens. Where did u get the throttle body serviced from? Some toyota 3s or another mechanic? I still am unable to find a good mechanic for my vitz

45 views and only 1 reply. Looks like this issue isnt very common.

have you confirmed that the 60 amperes battery is compatible with your car's generator? The vibration might be due to the drop in the engine rpms because of the generator working under stress to charge the 60 Amp battery.

check the amps of the stock battery, if they are less then 60, then IMO the reason for vibration is what i have mentioned.

Vitz comes with a 45 AH battery. Check for (-) black wire negative connected properly to the ground. Test with a wire loop connect to battery NEGATIVE connect to engine head or block directly start the car and let it idle see if there is a change most likely it is grounding problem nothing doing with TB

Thanks for your suggestions. This morning I disconnected the battery and after a few minutes reconnected it again. Works fine now. I guess it was something related to the ECU after all.

    Post Vitz Vibration 2

I faced the same problem with my vitz 07 1000 cc. i changed the battery... installed AGS 48.. The car started to shiver vigorously in idle start mode. but a couple of hours later when i went out on the car it felt better, the vibration automatically reduced to a great extent, does that mean that its ECU adjusts itself with the passage of time??? i am afraid that i might not face the same problem again.. i need your expert opinion on this one guyz!!!

Default vitz idle rpm after battery replacement.

I want to share here my experience of low idle rpm after battery replacement in vitz 07. This thread helped me a lot. I tried many suggestion of this thread i.e disconnect the terminals and connect and others but no trick worked. At last I leave it. After some days it has fixed . nothing is done. Now its OK. Thanks all, thanks Pakwheels.
