Exclamation Engine Light :( Vitz 2000 Auto No CNG

    Hi Guys,

I'm getting the engine light for last two months, it comes up after driving for sometime. I've put in new engine oil, changed air and oil filters, had service but the light just wont go.

I've not installed CNG, model is Vitz 2000' auto, car on petrol, Driven 104,000.

Also, any good ISL/RWP mechanic with reasonable prices? The one I goto couldnt figure out what's the problem and I've asked around and no one can pin point it so I'm here for your expert opinions

    Thank you,
    Best Regards.

you need to go to a workshop which has a automotive scanner cause i think some has messed with your throttle body...then you need deceleration caliberation which can only be done by a scanner.

you may need to change the timing belt if the ODO meter is not tampered and reading is correct as you mentioned. However you need to visit some shop with scanner and extract the codes. DO NOT - repeat DO NOT ask the shop to reset the code if it is for timing belt change the belt before doing a reset.

Yea there's no timing belt, rather a chain so it doesnt need replacement after 100k, that's what my mechanic told me.

Anyway, thanks for your feedback guys, do you know of any shops with scanner preferably in RWP else Islamabad? I know of Auto 2000 in Scheme III ext, but the guy charges alot, that's fine and all if you're taking a merc or something, but its a Vitz ;p sooo

go to Hyundai Sowan Motors (Rawalpindi) or Pak Suzuki workshop (Rawalpindi) both are on G.T road /Jehlum Road near Sowan Adda..
they got OBD scanners...they will charge no more than Rs.500/- for scanner ....get the codes read and then you would know whats causing the check engine light....
