    Default Vitz 2006 Gear Slipping

Yesterday I get my Vitz 2006 oil changed along with oil, air and AC filters. The station guy cleaned the car with air presure from inside and engine as well. He also tried to apply some thick surf water (I think) with air presurre to clean the engine. When I saw him doing this, he had already applied some water to the engine. I stopped him instantly.
Later this evening, I was driving my car, it was quite ok. Suddenly on the road, It started slipping the transmission. Now It runs like If I am drivinf a manual car with cluch padel pressed. I mean, the engine rpm goes up but the car doesn?t run.
I have searched through pakwheels, people suggest to check two things
    1-gear chamber
    2-shift cable
However, I don?t know how to check it. Or I do not know any good mechanic for vitz here in Lahore. Toyota repair is very expensive, I cant afford. They have already told me to change the entire gear. Please tell me what to do and how to do. And suggest any good vitz mechnic as well.
    I shall appreciate your cooperation
