    Default Toyota Vitz Owners/Fan Club

    The purpose of this post is to gauge the interest in forming a Toyota Vitz Owners Club in different cities of Pakistan. As we all know that Vitz has become quite popular in the last year or so. More and more people are buying it or are interested to know more about it. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. There would be regular meets and get together as well as cruises. The criteria to join the club would be to own a Vitz and a desire to help and share information with fellow members. I myself am based in Karachi, so I can take the lead in taking off this project here. Other can do the similar thing in their respective cities. If there is enough interest, a formal charter / by-laws would be issued with club rules and regulation as well as its mission statement. The club would operate under the same rules & conditions as other international car clubs. To take this project off the ground, I believe 10 people in each city would be the minimum requirement. If anyone from Karachi is interested in being a part of this club, please email me at danyal1@hotmail.com. Pakwheelers from other cities can share their email addresses under this post if they are willing to take the lead for their respective cities. I hope to this see become a success someday and a model for other to follow. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYS!!!

    hi guys, im thinking of buying tyres with alloys!

    i want to buy 185/65/r 14 size tyres with 14" alloy rims but someone told me that it will touch my car's body on jumps(speed breakers) or on road dugs.

    is it true? does it coz too much disturbance or is it ok?

    no 188/65R14 are perfect for your vitz but change your rear springs with the harder ones which are easily available everywhere they'll cost you around 1200-1400rs. Phir koi speedbraker ki tension nahi..

    @all above

    well, actually one more of my friend told me same thing that it will touch the car body and now im fully puzzled.

    Tomorrow i'm going to rawalpindi to buy these, also suggest me which shop to go. Secondly, shirazkhan are you satisfied with 185/65?

    i sometimes drive fast to cross speed breakers, so will it touch the body?

    howz the driving? i want smoothness on small dugs + speed breakers! our jhelum roads are not very good, most of roads has dugs, thats why i want those which doesn't touch my car's body

    @Vitzrulez

    thank you so much!

    Yes, i'm thinking of buying michelin or dunlop tyres with lots of spikes rims or the one with six-seven spikes.

    I'm searching for white ones,i like rims with color look. Yes, i have installed spacers(aluminium) in my rear wheels, they make awkward noise while i press handbrake or brakes. But not too much.

    Ok i will go for 185/65. Thanks for satisfying me.

    No probs bro. Go for 185/65R14, m not having any kind of probs even wid 5 people.
    Go for 5 spokes or the one wid many spokes. I jus could'nt get its name. I dont like 6 or 7 spokes. Any how its up to u.
    Yar m not having any knd of probs wid my spacers. But no doubt it doesnt looks gud. Bcoz the car back is a lil bit upwards.

    @vitzrulz
    155/80R13=578mm
    195/50R15=576mm
    185/65R14=596mm

    i'd hate to break the news to you but fitting the size you have is 3.11% too large which is WAY too big and is causing more of a load on your car than 195/50R15's.

    the correct size for your car would have been 185/60R14, not 65 (profile), as i have mentioned MANY times before on this thread. Oversized wheels will cause a speedometer error, cause too much load on the wheel bearings, raise the ride height out of the designed parameters, increase the unsprung weight, lower fuel economy and increase rolling resistance (and other things).

    @all
    the correct sizes for the vitz are the following (for the last time):

    13's
    155/80R13=578mm (originals)
    165/75R13=578mm (perfect match)
    175/70R13=575mm (near-perfect match)
    185/70R13=589mm (a little wide but can be fit)
    185/65R13=571mm (a little wide & short but a close fit)

    14's
    165/70R14=578mm (perfect match)
    175/65R14=583mm (a little tall but acceptable)
    185/60R14=578mm (perfect match)
    195/55R14=570mm (a little smaller than ideal but can be fit)
    205/55R14=581mm (a little wide but can be fit)

    15's
    175/55R15=574mm (near-perfect match)
    185/55R15=585mm (a little tall but acceptable)
    195/50R15=576mm (near-perfect match)

    any other sizes are NOT acceptable

    @storm .. bhai where were u wen i had to get rims and tyres.....i was going to go for 185-60/r14...yokohama es100 as i just love its thread ........but the thing every one showed me was that 185/60... was a low-profile tyre .....as could be damaged easily while seeing the road condition of karachi...............and wouldnt also increase the height which i wanted without.....springs and spacers..........but ......

    please temme that i havnt made a terrible mistake or have i ????
