    Default Toyota Vitz Owners/Fan Club

    The purpose of this post is to gauge the interest in forming a Toyota Vitz Owners Club in different cities of Pakistan. As we all know that Vitz has become quite popular in the last year or so. More and more people are buying it or are interested to know more about it. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. There would be regular meets and get together as well as cruises. The criteria to join the club would be to own a Vitz and a desire to help and share information with fellow members. I myself am based in Karachi, so I can take the lead in taking off this project here. Other can do the similar thing in their respective cities. If there is enough interest, a formal charter / by-laws would be issued with club rules and regulation as well as its mission statement. The club would operate under the same rules & conditions as other international car clubs. To take this project off the ground, I believe 10 people in each city would be the minimum requirement. If anyone from Karachi is interested in being a part of this club, please email me at danyal1@hotmail.com. Pakwheelers from other cities can share their email addresses under this post if they are willing to take the lead for their respective cities. I hope to this see become a success someday and a model for other to follow. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYS!!!

    hav to install cng in my car. which is the best. is there a special advance etc that needs to be installed. also suggest a good guy to get it fit from. i was told that only the 100/2 advancer works in vitz.

    and whats the difference between an advancer and an emulator? what ive understood uptill now is that an advancer increases the revs while the emulator decreases the revs.

    @Storm

    sorry bro, i went to rawalpindi today and gone to sadar bazar i think.

    I bought 14inch alloys with 185/65 r14 tyres, the shop keeper made me puzzled by saying that 60 is not suitable for our pakistani roads and blah blah!

    so i bought 185/65 r14 well, i feel good with new tyres but that thing happened to me, it touches the car on bouncy road, coming home from rwp to jhelum, it touched car many times because many bounces came!

    I already have 1inch al spacers in my rear wheels, should i put al spacer in front wheel as well?

    @chinyoti
    that is entirely up to you, personally i use pirelli in all of my cars (except the beetle which has 702's on it)

    @raja01
    these shop keepers really make me mad. they know nothing about what they are doing and only tgry to sell whatever they have in stock. i'm so angry at these theives it's not even funny.

    do note that "60" means (approx) 65% of the width of the tyre is the size of the sidewall (same for all other type of numbers)

    the touching can lead ot a tyre failing due to a cut or coudl even cause your tyre to momentarily stop rotating as it can get stuck (can also cause body damage)

    adding spacers is only going to make things worse sinec you'll be raising the car above the designed heoght and it will throw off all of the driving/handling dynamics of the car.

    for you i'd also suggest changing the tyres to one of the ones on my list (page 112 of this thread)

    @raja bhaiya where as i remember your car dosent has c.n.g then y the spacers????..... if it does ......so technically ive studied u should go for a lil higher and stiffer springs which are a better option ..........and if u dont have c.n.g in your car then just take out the spacers 185/65/14....give sufficient height to the ccar..............

    and storm bhai is rite that adding spacer would increase the height of the car whereas the tires would remain in there place this would give the tyres less turning and rotating place.........so more rubbing and if the rear wheel is hitting the boddy so its dangerous as it may hit the cars, body cut the tyre and damage the boddy ..........

    b.t.w the height is increased of my car but besides minor rubbings on full steering turns its not giving me and vitz rules any problems for a 70k driven car its okay (mashallah) though the cars height has increased.........and according to the cars more in to my hands(as i was using orignal dead tyres uptil now)

    ok guys!

    Thanks to Allah!
    I found the problem!

    the tires are not bad, they were not touching the car body at all! i saw in sunlight above all four wheels and there was no scratch at all, when i looked at one wheel's mud guard (rear left) it was scratched a bit and i found the problem!

    my left packing was a little loose from left wheel's spring, today is friday so shops are closed, i will go tomorrow to fix this problem.

    Please check the price which i paid and tell me if its ok:

    Dunlop ECO 201 tires=14,000rs
    Rims( six spikes(double spike design))=12,400rs (china)
    Fitting, some nozel or something, balancing=free

    total i paid=26,000rs

    But for screws(bolts) i had to pay 650rs because they said, screws doesnt come with rims.

    Please tell me if this price is ok or i got tikka?

    @chinyoti

    bro please read my above post and reply again. Thank you for your words! well, yes i have installed cng a month ago because of daily increase in petrol price!

    yesterday bought a Yaris CDX/ black/ manual/ sunroof/ 2000 model with almost 100k on the clock.

    today installed 17" 3 spoke chromes with 205-40-17 ES-300 rubber.

    have followed some of the comments but the thread itself is too long to go through.

    @ Storm....plz advise/help

    1) Engine light is always On no matter on CNG or PETROL
    but the running is smooth and powerfull.

    2) while idling the car seems to lose RPMs meaning even if u press the accelerator the engine losses speed and tends to goes off. but once above 1000 rpm everything works perpectly fine.

    3) Sunroof needs to be fixed, please advise a good mechanic.

    4) need to get the CAT checked, just for my satisfaction.

    Regards,

    Ali

    @jaazz, CAT is already removed by me...you can even judge the nice sound on petrol...
    on idling, i think on very start it did, imean on morning timing, what u need is to push the padel softly...it disappears..

    https://www.pakwheels.com/forumreply_az_TopicID!75098~ForumID!10~pw.html
    engine light will be gone if u used the above procedure with petrol, but if u switch to CNG then it wil come again..

    @RAJA challo dats gud u got ur problem solved ......well my cars tyres never scratched from the rear end.......mostly the driver side front tyre is the one which scratches the most ............as my car is a lill low on the driver side.....i got it checked it is low (mgr my mechanic said if the allingement is fine then leave it, as humlog apni karwai kreinge aur koi aur masla hojaiga) its perfectly fine..(as in theres no problem with it being lyk this its mostly because someone heavy sits on the driver side)............

    Salam all,

    I am goin to buy a Vitz and I put this question in the "General Auto talks" as well. Some expert opinion needed urgently please.

    While talkin to a gentleman who was selling his vitz 2000, he told that there is no way one can surely tell about a model as it is up to the importer to be honest or dishonest in writing the true model # on the import papers (whatever it is called).

    Is this true ?
    If yes, then how can one verify that a 2003 vitz (for example) "is" a 2003 vitz. (except for the shape, which not all people can judge so easily)

    infact the word 'gentlman' describe itself the innoncency toward automobiles....dude its not a kind of comodities which will come in general shape. on import papers its clearly mentioned the model n even the scretches..however for your own satisfaction u can check by yourself on seat belts..its clearly mentions.
