    Default Toyota Vitz Owners/Fan Club

    The purpose of this post is to gauge the interest in forming a Toyota Vitz Owners Club in different cities of Pakistan. As we all know that Vitz has become quite popular in the last year or so. More and more people are buying it or are interested to know more about it. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. There would be regular meets and get together as well as cruises. The criteria to join the club would be to own a Vitz and a desire to help and share information with fellow members. I myself am based in Karachi, so I can take the lead in taking off this project here. Other can do the similar thing in their respective cities. If there is enough interest, a formal charter / by-laws would be issued with club rules and regulation as well as its mission statement. The club would operate under the same rules & conditions as other international car clubs. To take this project off the ground, I believe 10 people in each city would be the minimum requirement. If anyone from Karachi is interested in being a part of this club, please email me at danyal1@hotmail.com. Pakwheelers from other cities can share their email addresses under this post if they are willing to take the lead for their respective cities. I hope to this see become a success someday and a model for other to follow. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYS!!!

    I know a guy in rawalpindi who has done this; Lodhi from Lodhi Autos near Airport. Also i think if at all you cant find any connectivity cable or anything, find some good electrician who would help you create a cable for you and offcourse there are lots of softwares available on net with its protocol.

    if you want to write your own software to interact with the ECU, you need complete ECU API documentation. That should be available online as well. So you can give that a try as well.

    Jaaz is right, what they do is just reset ECU and things working fine for sometime but actual problem lies behind and will eventually occur again after sometime, may be after driving another 100 KMs.. this is my personal experience. Moreover, u can reset ECU urselft just disconnect one of the battery terminal and reconnect it after 1 minute, its done, ECU is reset and u'll for sure find good feelings of ur ride. Another way to reset ECU is to pull out and then put back one of the fuse (second from top) in the fuse box above battery, this will serve the same.

    @Raja01
    I have had scanned my ride from Nazir Autos, G8 Isb. They charge Rs. 500 for scanning and will let u know each and everything incling engine readings, airbags etc.... Upon checkup my ride was all perfect except that it has Air Flow circuit error due to whic check engine is illuminating. The mechanic told me that I'll have to bear with it coz I'm using CNG. I'm satisfied with it, since my ride never gives any check engine whenever I drive it on Petrol.

    indeed you are right, when they squeek that means that they are getting old.

    you can get an original set of brake pads for approximately 11,000 in KHI (all corners). i highly suggest you get originals as there is no safety in these cheap replica parts as they are not tested under any industry standards.

    You can see in the pic the greenish plastic part which is at the back of the AC knob..either this thing is responsible for the green light or its the bulb. I couldn't see the bulb anywhere cuz there were three switches attached to the board and i could not remove them. I also got a red transparent plastic sheet to see if it could work..but tht also did not work.

    So not possible for me atleast

    @Rafay,, bhai jan no offence mgr , dont just open the dashboard and the speedo meter lyke dat, may this would deploy the airbags ( corrcet me if im wrong)

    @ storm , sameer bhai are u sure break pads for 11k???
    coz i bought them in last september for 2300 and 200 for break service.........the japani ones were cheaper as they were low on quality ,,,,,,or something these are orignal ones but 11k isnt it a lil too high.........(corrcet me if im wrong)
    Get over the fact that Xli lacks power windows, Its an Xli because it lacks thoose features or else it would be a Gli or an Altis if had all the goodies.

    Hi, I'm seriously considering buying a 2006 Vitz. But I have one VERY IMPORTANT query and I'd appreciate a VERY HONEST answer.

    How good is CNG on a Vitz? Does it affect the pick, given its an automatic transmission car? What's the average mileage? What immediate problems would I have upon CNG conversion? How much would it all approximately cost for CNG conversion and its related problem resolution?

    I know friends here have discussed CNG Vitz, but I'd still be looking forward to your very kind and prompt replies in a holistic way.

    Thanks!
