    Default Toyota Vitz Owners/Fan Club

    The purpose of this post is to gauge the interest in forming a Toyota Vitz Owners Club in different cities of Pakistan. As we all know that Vitz has become quite popular in the last year or so. More and more people are buying it or are interested to know more about it. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. There would be regular meets and get together as well as cruises. The criteria to join the club would be to own a Vitz and a desire to help and share information with fellow members. I myself am based in Karachi, so I can take the lead in taking off this project here. Other can do the similar thing in their respective cities. If there is enough interest, a formal charter / by-laws would be issued with club rules and regulation as well as its mission statement. The club would operate under the same rules & conditions as other international car clubs. To take this project off the ground, I believe 10 people in each city would be the minimum requirement. If anyone from Karachi is interested in being a part of this club, please email me at danyal1@hotmail.com. Pakwheelers from other cities can share their email addresses under this post if they are willing to take the lead for their respective cities. I hope to this see become a success someday and a model for other to follow. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYS!!!

    have you tried the basics? like having the fuilds changed, clenaing the airfilter, removing the catalytic converter, cleaning the plugs, having the correct gaps set on the plugs etc?

    my suggestion is to have a REAL CNG technician take a look at it as that is WAY too low an average inless you only drive it in first gear all the time.

    hmmm........strange problem with my car these days,when ever AC is on when i put my padal on brake padal twice without putting again on the Race padal,My brake padal become so hard to press it again. MY car is on PETROL from the very first day.one catalytic removed which is under the car.my car is on 195/60/14" tyres.evrything is serviced on the time from the very first day...changed plugs,serviced throttle (at every 5000kms).
    i'm very confused abt the strange problem.
    my Mechanic(expert one) is telling me not to remove the 1st catalytic converter,because it will start creating some mechanical problems such as higher revs while braking.rpms won't drop because the pressure will effect the sensor to change the reading when there's nothin to control the pressure & Catalytic converter is there to do so

    on more thing...95% of the petrol i poured in my car from the very first day is HIGH OCTANE frm SHELL
    is it good or worst?

    i hav heard that high octance is Dry as compared to Super....and its TRUE

    the brake pedal thing is normal on used vitz, it has to do with the idle control, many people have it and it can/should be sorted out with a brake service (bleeding etc) and removing the cat. this should help the car idle correctly.

    hi-octane is a more refined version of super and is better than it in every way but you don't need to FILL the tank with hi-octane as the vitz does not really need such a high rated fuel. you can get away with a 50:50 mix of hi-octane and super.

    plug gapping tools are used to correctly adjust the gaps on plugs, most of the ones used in PK look like this:

    @vitzrulez
    glad that you guys had a minimeet (Y)

    @speed_manan
    yes i've had both removed from my car now and the difference was HUGE. last week my car gave me anaverage of 7.8 whereas it used to give me an average of approx 12-13 before with my 15's on, so i opened up my cat myself and broke out the mesh which is inside it. maybe not the best idea but it got the job done.

    wheter you choose to do it or not is up to you but i'd suggest you do it.

    1. the one closest to the engine (beginning of exhaust system)
    2. yes if you remove the pipe and replace it, not if you empty it out.
    3. the agent for mothers in ISB/RWP is in saddar pindi
    4. have sent you an email.

    @speed_manan
    7.8 before removing the first one (near engine). the cat had choked my car so much that it couldn't idle correctly. in your case, have the exhaust opeed and have the "jhali" in the 1st "dholki" removed. I used a metal rod (sariya) to smash out the mesh of the cat. it's been done many times before on mercs here in ISB with no problems. I still havn't checked the average as usually a tank lasts me a month in my car so i'll let you know after i've filled it next time.

    the one with the 02 sensor is the only catalytic converter in the 03-04, the next one is more of a silencer but it also get blocked with bits from the catalytic converter so that's why people have it emptied out.

    i don't use MSN etc as it conflicts with another software i use for work. more chance of catching me here.
