    Default Toyota Vitz Owners/Fan Club

    The purpose of this post is to gauge the interest in forming a Toyota Vitz Owners Club in different cities of Pakistan. As we all know that Vitz has become quite popular in the last year or so. More and more people are buying it or are interested to know more about it. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. There would be regular meets and get together as well as cruises. The criteria to join the club would be to own a Vitz and a desire to help and share information with fellow members. I myself am based in Karachi, so I can take the lead in taking off this project here. Other can do the similar thing in their respective cities. If there is enough interest, a formal charter / by-laws would be issued with club rules and regulation as well as its mission statement. The club would operate under the same rules & conditions as other international car clubs. To take this project off the ground, I believe 10 people in each city would be the minimum requirement. If anyone from Karachi is interested in being a part of this club, please email me at danyal1@hotmail.com. Pakwheelers from other cities can share their email addresses under this post if they are willing to take the lead for their respective cities. I hope to this see become a success someday and a model for other to follow. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYS!!!

    Thanks @storm... I thought my queries went unread.

    Sorry, the interior pics are not that clear.
    Besides, the engine pics are also due....Tomorrow inshaAllah.

    Currently i have the liquid battery installed (the normal one, but not genuine Japanese). Should i switch to a dry one?
    Another thing to ask: before starting, the "red" battery indication appears in the display, which goes off once i start the engine. Is it normal ?

    Toyota Vitz OwnersFan Club -843703

    the car has got spacers in the rear only as it used to be really low on stock tires and used to touch on bumps.

    and no the 16s dont touch the fenders...or even while turning..
    lastly the ride is still comfortable

    ne ways...let me know what u think about the rims
    thanks

    Yaar its my father's fault i told him that not to take the car for wheel alignment there was everthing fine but he took the car to the mechanic.When he is aligning the wheels the steering wheel goes jammed then he opened the steering wheel and now he's not able to joint it properly.He also broke the Airbag spiler which is so costly and we are unable to find it.And now there's the corolla's spiler available but not vitz's original.We went to Toyota Eastern Motors the service maganer is 1 of our relatives he advised us to fit the corolla's spiler in it but its not fixing properly.He said that i can fix it wit some jugaarh.The original spiler's port is narrow while the corolla's port is kinda wide and bigger.So he said that he will cut off the port and joined the original port instead of corolla's own port so that is the way to join it properly.But now i m really pissed off u see its not an original work.What do i do now should i fix it or anyone else will help me in finding an AIRBAG's Spiler.? REALLY NEED HELP.

    the ride looks tight (Y), no need to switch to a maintainance free batteries unless you REALLY have to have it, but it's good to know that it'll be trouble free for a while. the red battery symbol on the dash is normal.

    @Moak89
    the tyres and rimns are WAY too big and is going to murder your wheel bearings and fuel economy. BUT i love the deep dish design, just make sure you go slow over pot holes or they will bend.

    @SaM_vitz007
    go immediately to the 2nd hand market and get a steering column from another vitz (even a crashed one) and get the parts transferred to your car. if you go for a "juggar" it's possible that you might have further problems with the steerig and even your airbag may not function correctly when it is needed.

    @Vitzrulez...thanks for appreciating.
    I don't know if it could play DVD or not. It has two touch screen options: (1)MAP (2)CD....I touched "CD", and the screen openned (unfolded) to expose the two ports for inserting Map CD or the Audio/Video CD. And after that, i didn't know how to close it back. However, it somehow got closed when i switched off everything and removed the key. I didn't dare to open it ever again. Its all Jap written over the controlls. Will try playing with it in some spare time to come up with its manipulation.

    @storm....thanks for appreciation.
    Its handbrake button is hard when i want it to unpark. So much so that the last time i tried, it literally took about 5 mins. And after that, i have stopped using it in the fear of making it stuck badly. What should i do about it ???

    As i m in the process of learning how to drive. I couldn't get why to keep the left foot at rest all the time!? why not to use it for brake, and the right one for race ?

    @Akifnaseer

    It is considered a big NO in driving. Its harmful for the engine if you break and accelerate at the same time. Other then tht, in manual transmission if you break with left foot and not press the clutch the engine will turn off after you've slowed down. Then it will become hard for you to use the right foot for breaking as it'll be against the automatic reflexes you'd have built by that time. I hope this may have helped you.

    Abt the handbrake issue, wait for someone more knowledgeable to answer.

    although left-foot-braking is typical in formula1 and also quite popular in other types of racing, but in our case we usually don't have our left foot trained for braking, and even if you try it, you'd find it to be a bit odd and less precise. and you'd have to be careful not to press the brake with the gas pedal simultaneously.

    and in day to day city driving, using the right foot for braking is perfectly fine,

    1. Vitz 2001-2003 Manual.
    2. Vitz 2001-2003 Automatic.
    3. Vitz 2005-2006 Manual.
    4. Vitz 2005-2006 Automatic.
    Secondly, from where in Lahore i can get a good vitz.
    I will be surely using it on cng.
    I have some questions, it would be very helpful if anyone could answer them!!
    A.Is manual vitz easily available.
    B.Does it fine with cng, manual/automatic?
    C.What are the main points to check abt the car, while buying?
    D. How much important is the auction grade?
    E.How to verify the model?

    These are the many questions that come to my mind while thinking abt buying a vitz!!

    every noes how to open up the door panel

    Toyota Vitz OwnersFan Club -843948

    then i tighted the door lock as much as i could...
    then u can see the empty white box ... in the second circle

    Toyota Vitz OwnersFan Club -843949

    Toyota Vitz OwnersFan Club -843950

    i filled this circle with cotton the same thing which we use to polish the cars...... one pack cost 8-10rs and hardly cotton used in this D.I.Y would cost 2rs and my cars interior is very silent now

    so if any one gives it a try please lemme noe
