    Default Toyota Vitz Owners/Fan Club

    The purpose of this post is to gauge the interest in forming a Toyota Vitz Owners Club in different cities of Pakistan. As we all know that Vitz has become quite popular in the last year or so. More and more people are buying it or are interested to know more about it. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. There would be regular meets and get together as well as cruises. The criteria to join the club would be to own a Vitz and a desire to help and share information with fellow members. I myself am based in Karachi, so I can take the lead in taking off this project here. Other can do the similar thing in their respective cities. If there is enough interest, a formal charter / by-laws would be issued with club rules and regulation as well as its mission statement. The club would operate under the same rules & conditions as other international car clubs. To take this project off the ground, I believe 10 people in each city would be the minimum requirement. If anyone from Karachi is interested in being a part of this club, please email me at danyal1@hotmail.com. Pakwheelers from other cities can share their email addresses under this post if they are willing to take the lead for their respective cities. I hope to this see become a success someday and a model for other to follow. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYS!!!

    Thanks. getting some time this week. but more work is on its way... so will be gone for a while again. And as already mentioned, it's much difficult to catch up on pw these days due to the amount of general talk going on here! But it's getting back to "useful" chatting now!

    Anyways, different tyre pressure is due to different objectives of the spare tyre. It's smaller so that you have to carry minimum extra weight. Then it's not designed for performance (high speed driving, braking, etc.) On the contrary, it's a thicker construction and made to be as resistant to punctures as possible. Even in case of a puncture, more air means it will take much longer to go flat. Objective is to get to a tyre shop safely. Most of these spare tyres don't have a speed rating above 40km/h, so make sure u're not trying to see how far your car goes on them! Which also means these tyres are not designed to stand (or dissipate) the heat!

    @gorkan
    Thnx. Wasn't getting enough time to go through the manual and note everything down!

    And you might be right on the double psi, but I think that's not the case as "psi" measurement already takes into account the difference in area. Right? Nice signature btw!

    @Zakarian
    I think the most i've pumped into my vitz is 41 liters... and there must be a liter or two inside... so i don't think they'll have different fuel tank sizes in uk and japan!

    Badluck! So it probably means every 2004 Vitz owner should beware of this !?
    Regarding token; doesn't it only depend on the engine capacity ? Different rates for different models seems strange. Or perhaps it might be that in your papers 1000cc are mentioned instead of the actual 990cc. Or there might be different rates in Isb and Punjab !?

    @A.Moiz
    Thanks for the explanation.

    @Gorkan
    Your cat removal DIY is still saved in my PC. I'm not sure when i'll be able to find time to get it done, or perhaps might go for the other option in which the welding work is involved. Lets see; and i'll surely drop comments after removing it, whenever it happens.

    Thanks a lot dear for all the useful info. I've been using ZIC for quite long now and on ZIC A pack its written 10W/40. Please confirm if it is okay or should I switch to A+?

    A few days ago I was opening my car's back door that was near to a pillar. I opened it and the door hit the pillar. To my surprise a piece of pillar was disintegrated and fell on the floor and its door did not have a scratch. This shows how strong its body is. Take a look at the picture.

    Were you driving with 4-5 ppl inside your car? The EXACT thing happened yesterday when we went to hyderabad and this was the first time i was driving a vitz on high way. Got really disappointed, you can't really do anything to it after 85km/h i had the accelerator fully pressed. max speed i reached on CNG was 106km/h. Maybe it was due to the heavy weight of 5 ppl + CNG. Cuz my car is perfectly tuned. On petrol it was better.

    in the city traffic, Did 160km on the long route with A/C. It costs arround Rs 305 to fill up.

    @Noz_Ziad

    You did not mention if your car is on CNG or Petrol.! , I presume it's on CNG ,then what you are referring to is called Advancer, it alternates timings as required for CNG and petrol, there is another thing called Lambda , it alters CNG+Air mixture as required.

    Toyota Rawal guys are installing this complete setup with 40 cylinder for Rs 50,000.

    I recently had it installed and so far its giving me superb millage and very good pic.
