    Default Toyota Vitz Owners/Fan Club

    The purpose of this post is to gauge the interest in forming a Toyota Vitz Owners Club in different cities of Pakistan. As we all know that Vitz has become quite popular in the last year or so. More and more people are buying it or are interested to know more about it. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. There would be regular meets and get together as well as cruises. The criteria to join the club would be to own a Vitz and a desire to help and share information with fellow members. I myself am based in Karachi, so I can take the lead in taking off this project here. Other can do the similar thing in their respective cities. If there is enough interest, a formal charter / by-laws would be issued with club rules and regulation as well as its mission statement. The club would operate under the same rules & conditions as other international car clubs. To take this project off the ground, I believe 10 people in each city would be the minimum requirement. If anyone from Karachi is interested in being a part of this club, please email me at danyal1@hotmail.com. Pakwheelers from other cities can share their email addresses under this post if they are willing to take the lead for their respective cities. I hope to this see become a success someday and a model for other to follow. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYS!!!

    I am not sure about the price, but I can help you with the tyres. I also bought Michellin tyres some time back and the tyres alone cost me 20k. So you can add a premium of 10k to the normal market price for the cost of tyres.

    @raja01

    good luck with your experience, I am not very sure if this will work in your 2004 model as well, but I do hope

    the main accelerator diff between 2004 and 2005+ models is that it has electronic accelerator as well.

    cheers

    Bro u should take a guess from the local market. Bcoz in khi 2004 costs around 560 to 580k.

    @129
    I have used Castrol's Magnatec in my car and it has been great. The specification states that it has unique magnetized molecules that attach themselves to the metallic parts and thereby provide maximum protection from wear. I have used it for more than 5000km and the last time I got my car tuned, the mechanic said that it will last for another 2000 ~ 3000 km.

    Hello all,
    i have recently purchased a vitz 05 (second gen). i haven’t got it yet as i have paid partial consideration for the verbal contract (biana in the local lingo) and it has been locked down at the dealer's showroom till I complete payment. i'll most probably be able to take delivery tomorrow as i am hoping for a transfer to my account by tomorrow morning. then i'll pay up the owner and bail my car out of its temporary imprisonment , what i wanted to know was that from where can i get cng installed in this thing? please suggest a good place in Lahore? also i wanted to inquire that is it possible to get similar cng cylinders installed as those that come company fitted in a santro? if so from where can i get them? will they cost me more? I am hoping I can get them as they will save boot space and allow me to hook up a sub woofer and speakers in the back. Your help would be highly appreciated.
    Thank you (in advance).

    I feel like cng installers are a complete rip off in Lahore, no way it could cost 60-65k....!!

    I had it installed in mine from Karachi for 35k (50kg) and it everything in the *best* mark.

    I am not marketing anybody but there's a CNG shop named SHAJ JEE CNG near Alladin Park, you should get rates from them as well.

    About Engine Oil, a lot of variation in opinions. Mostly, whatever a person is using seems to be satisfied with it; whether it is Zic A+, Zic A, Mobil1, Havoline Formula, Magnatec etc. etc.

    What i've learned after reading from the internet is that what matters is:

    (1) API (American) and ACEA (European) certification,
    In API, SM is latest standard and SL is also fine
    ACEA splits its specs on performance/economy basis)

    (2)SAE grade (viscosity)
    5W-30 is recommended for Vitz; 10W30 is also fine

    However, about this viscosity thing, some folks treat it as a function of climate. So 10W30 might be better than 5W30 in for climatic conditions of our country.
